In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the majority of Honours d egrees are 3 years in duration with specialisation from the outset
In Scotland, the majority of degrees are 4 years (Honours)
This is because Scottish degrees have lots of flexibility and choice of subjects to study in lower years, with specialisation by third year
