2 ENTER PATIENT INFORMATION Select “New Case” on the Image Capture Unit.
A surgical team member will then enter relevant patient data using a Keyboard or other external device.
3 STERILE PROCEDURE
A surgical team member working within the sterile field will pass the equipment-end of the sterilized Camera Head Cable and Light Cable to a surgical team member outside the sterile field for attachment to their respective units.
4 ATTACH CAMERA HEAD TO CCU
Remove protective cap from Camera Head Cable. Attach Camera Head Cable to CCU (Camera Control Unit) by aligning the red dots and pushing into the CCU.
5 ATTACH LIGHT CABLE TO LIGHT SOURCE
Make sure that the light turret is turned so the correct position is on top and that it matches the style of the Light Cable. DePuy Synthes Mitek Sports Medicine Light Cables use the Storz connection here.

NOTE: It is recommended to use 2 different gauze pads with a 1 minute wait time between wiping down all surfaces.
7 ATTACH SCOPE TO COUPLER
Attach the desired Scope to the Coupler. All surfaces should be dried thoroughly with gauze pad before attaching.
NOTE: Press locking mechanism to accept desired Scope. Once inserted, push button in opposite direction to lock Scope into place.
8 ATTACH LIGHT CABLE TO SCOPE
The DePuy Synthes Mitek Sports Medicine Light Cable uses an ACMI connection here. All Scope rings should be removed from the Scope’s light-post to access this connection.
