What is Volume?

Question : What is the difference between mass and volume?

The volume of an object is the amount of space it takes up.

Units of Volume

Questions : How do we write them? What are the differences between each of them?

We measure volume in 3 ways :• Cubic centimetres• Mililitres• Litres

Measuring Volume

We can measure volume of objects with irregular shape in two ways :

• The volume of the water that flows out• The difference between the volume of

water and the total volume of the water and the object.

Question : Does the volume of an object change when its shape changes?
