API 6D Pipeline Transmission Statement
• At the current time, the Krombach model 7136 is not designed for the API 6D Pipeline Transmission market segment. Valves in this service require size range 2”thru 56”, elastomer o-ring on seating surface and emergency injection ports. Such a design is not in the Krombach MSBV range.
• We are not in the position to design, manufacture and supply such valves in a competitive way against Velan, Cameron, Metso (Neles), Böhmer, etc.
• We will retain API 6D certification for testing to meet customer specification requirements, even if the valves will be used mostly in other services than typical pipeline applications.
