1998International Danube Festival launched in Ulm and New-Ulm (every two years); 2008 over 300.000 visitors; 2010 Top Act: Goran Bregovic 2002 donau.büro.ulm founded as project and development agency for co-operation between the cities and regions along the Danube; 14 Danube offices established from Ulm to the Danube Delta – for example in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Golubac 2003 1st European Conference of Danube Cities in Ulm,following conferences in Novi Sad (2005), Vidin / Bulgaria (2007), Budapest (2009), the next planned in Belgrade (2011)
