• After the debut, people found computers to be vastly convenient for designers.

design• Ordering fabrics or materials• Used for it’s precision• Used to e-mail samples to different

• Certain software’s may include stencils, color options, textures, and create images on the screen.

• One of the most popular software’s is CAD, computer aided design

Computer aided design• Apparatus allows factory tailoring on

a body.• Body dimensions are measured and

inspected by a camera.• Camera converts the measurements

to a wire frame representation of the body (exact dimensions)

• Measurement came be used to form mannequins in that size.

• Pattern sizing and color coordination• With a simple clicks of a button, you

can change the pattern of the shirt, color of the shorts, even accessories on different skin tones.

Sketching?• Sketching is still frequently done by

hand. • However, computers can help enhance

the sketch. • Transferring the sketch to a computer

can help you place the design upon an actual body.

• Consider variations that can make the design better.

• Sketching can also be done with a computer’s interface with a sensor equipped pen and tablet.
