The Community of Artists is a living-learning community for first-year students, both freshman and transfer, in the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA). As part of this community you will live and take classes together with other Community of Artists students in an environment designed to support your needs as a new student and young professional.

• having input in creating activities you would enjoy and workshops that will help you succeed academically

The Community of Artists is housed in Trinkle Hall.
The Trinkle Hall residential life facility offers:
• Air conditioned, suite style rooms• Spacious rehearsal rooms where you can
practice and create• Lounge areas for artists to gather and
socialize
Trinkle Hall is conveniently located just a few short steps away from performance and exhibition halls, studios, and CVPA classrooms making it an ideal spot for students to live and create.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:• You must declare a major from the College
of Visual and Performing Arts, which includes art, dance, design, music, and theatre
• If your major requires an audition (i.e. dance, music and theatre), you must complete a successful audition before you will be fully admitted to the Community of Artists
ONCE ADMITTED:• You must live in Trinkle Hall• You must take the Community
of Artists specific UNIV 100, Introduction to Higher Education course during your first fall semester
