Coast to Coast Connections Spring 2019
Spring 2019
Coast to Coast had another successful year in 2018 as new membership sales grew for the fourth consecutive year. We continued our focus on providing you with the tools to help support your sales and marketing of new resort memberships. To that point, during 2018 we added more than a dozen new videos to the Coast member website including a video for non-members to learn more about resort membership camping and Coast to Coast, welcome videos for all three products types (Classic, Deluxe, and Premier), and videos to show members how to use all their key member benefits. These videos represented a considerable investment by Coast and have been well received by both members and resort sales staff.
On the corporate front in 2018, the Good Sam Club passed a significant milestone as the club surpassed 2 million members for the first time. Also during 2018 our company continued the rollout of RV sales in Gander Outdoors stores. This is helping to put RVs in front of more avid outdoor enthusiasts than ever before through our nearly 200 combined Camping World and Gander Outdoors retail outlets. This enhanced nationwide presence for RV sales will create positive momentum for your business and ours.
We expect another year of growth for Coast to Coast and membership resort sales in 2019. Our goal is to continue to provide you with the best products, supported by the best sales and marketing tools, to help promote your sales of new resort memberships. Thank you for your continued support of Coast to Coast, and we look forward to working with you to help grow both our businesses to new heights in 2019.

Sales Update
2 Coast to Coast Connections Spring 2019
Enhanced Resort Profiles Added to CoastResorts.comDuring the first half of this year you will notice some changes to our online directory as we will be upgrading the resort and Good Neighbor Park (GNP) profile pages. The upgrades will include a larger main visual of each resort and photographic virtual tour of properties who have provided Coast with multiple photographs. Coast is making the investment in these enhanced resort and GNP profile pages to better highlight our resorts and to give members a better experience when searching for information on our affiliated parks and resorts.
Coast Adds 78 New Good Neighbor Parks for 2019We have added 78 new Good Neighbor Parks (GNPs) to our network for 2019, stretching across 13 states and 8 Canadian Provinces. Included in the list are 2 parks in South Dakota, 3 in New Hampshire, 4 in Texas, and 16 in Washington state. This could be the year for members to make plans to RV across Canada, as we have added new GNPs from British Columbia to Newfoundland including must-see areas such as the Niagara Falls region, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. Check out our feature on the new GNPs in the 2019 Coast Resort Directory on pages 13-17.
Coast will be adding many more new GNPs to our network in 2019, giving members more exciting places to stay and save. Keep checking CoastResorts.com for the latest updates on new parks and resorts.
Unfortunately Sun RV Resorts let us know late in 2018 that they were leaving our GNP network. However, if Coast members have a Good Sam Club membership, they can stay at any Sun RV Resort and receive a 10% discount every night of the year. This is because Sun RV Resorts are still part of the Good Sam Park Network.

CoastResorts.com Updates for 2019Now that we have entered a new year, we wanted to update you on changes that we made to the Coast member website at the beginning of 2019. Sign in and visit the Rentals page at CoastResorts.com to find the printable PDF of our new 2019 Rentals Directory. It features expanded listings of rental accommodations that are available for Coast members to rent at Coast Resorts and Good Neighbor Parks in 29 states and 3 Canadian provinces. If you don’t own an RV, or plan to travel without your RV, Coast to Coast has you covered!
In addition, we have added a new PDF to our Find a Resort search page on CoastResorts.com that provides an up-to-date list of the changes to our affiliate network since the printed 2019 Coast Resort Directory was published. Throughout the year, we will keep updating this PDF regularly as network changes occur. We created this list in response to a member suggestion asking that we provide all the network updates in one convenient place online.
Newest Good Neighbor Park in Wyoming Phillips RV Park, our newest Coast Good Neighbor Park, is located in the picturesque town of Evanston, Wyoming. The park is a convenient stopover for RVers traveling to and from Yellowstone National Park. The town of Evanston is nestled in the Bear River Valley, and the Bear River flows through the community. Bear River Greenway provides recreational opportunities including fishing, biking, walking trails, exercise stations, and paddle boat rentals. Nearby is the Bear River State Park where elk and bison roam. To the south are the Uinta Mountains.
The park features 56 full hookup RV sites with the majority being pull-throughs. Wi-Fi is available at all sites, as are picnic tables. Satellite reception is available at some sites. Phillips RV Park is open April 15 to October 15 with full hook-ups, and from October 16 through April 14 with electricity only.
New Wall Tour Maps Now AvailableWe recently completed work on new Coast wall tour maps that you can use to show potential new members all the places they can stay using their Coast membership. These are available in two sizes, 24” x 36” (small) and 36” x 54” (large). These are both common poster sizes which makes framing easier for you. We also have two versions of the Coast wall tour maps, one showing Coast resorts and Good Neighbor Parks (GNPs) and the other showing Coast resorts and GNPs, Good Sam Parks, and Camping World and Gander Outdoors locations. This version is our “corporate” wall map showing all the places new members can use their Coast membership to stay and to save. To order the new maps call Eileen McKee at 303-728-7403 or email her at [email protected].

Rating Teams Are On The WayIt’s that time of year when the Good Sam Directory inspection teams will be traveling the country to rate parks and resorts, including our Coast affiliated resorts. Please give these teams access to your resort for their inspection, and answer any questions they may have about your resort amenities. The inspection teams will have a letter from Coast introducing them and authorizing them to inspect each of our resorts. Coast is the only reciprocal network in the membership camping industry to professionally rate our resorts each year, and ratings are published in the Coast Annual Resort Directory. If you have questions in regards to the inspection or rating process, please call Linda Clark at 800-833-9183, ext. 1412.
Be Sure Your 2019 Spring Open Dates are Set in TripsetterIf you are a seasonal resort, it is important that you reset your open and close dates as well as summer holiday blocks in the Coast Tripsetter Reservation System for 2019. Failing to set your open date may mean that Coast members cannot make reservations at your resort, while failing to block holidays may mean that Coast members will be able to make reservations during peak holiday weekends when you will likely be full with your own members. Please take a moment to go to CoastAffiliates.com, log in using your user name and password, and set your open dates and holiday blocks for 2019. If you need help call Coast to Coast Resort Coordinator Linda Clark at 800-833-9183, ext. 1412.
