ParentVUE Letters
6th grade ParentVUE letters and 7th and 8th grade
ParentVUE letters that were not picked up at Open House
on Tuesday night were sent home with students on
Thursday, August 22. If you did not get yours from your
student, please ask them for it.

Bicycle Safety Training
Please join The Kiwanis Club of Newburgh on Saturday,
September 7th from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Track by
Newburgh Elementary School on 3rd Street between
Newburgh Fire Station and Senior Citizens Center.
(Rain date is September 14.) Cost: Free.
During this time your child will be instructed on the
importance of wearing a bike helmet, basic rules of the
road, hand turn signals and basic traffic signs. Bring your
child’s bike with you since we will be inspecting bikes.

Diary of the Wimpy Kid
CHALLENGE
Okay, Diary of the Wimpy Kid fans, this ones for
you! The 14th book of the series is coming out this
year and we are going to have it on the release
date.
We will be pre-selling the Diary of the Wimpy Kid:
The Wrecking Ball (Book 14) beginning today and
ending on Sept. 13th.
Challenge: If CNMS students pre-order 20 cop-
ies, one student will get a hardback copy for FREE.
You will get your book delivered to you right here at
school on the release date of November 6th.
A copy of the order form has also been attached to
this newsletter. Checks to CNMS PTO. Take your
order form to the library and give it to Ms. Pearson.
We still need 1 volunteer to run our book fair. If
you can check out your groceries at the Walmart,
you can work a book fair! It’s that easy!

CNMS generationOn Club
The CNMS generationOn Club is a service club made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who want to make a difference in
their community. Our members are athletes, musicians, actors, artists...and volunteer when their schedules allow. All
are welcome!
Our general meetings are the first Wednesday of the month. We have additional meetings specific to our projects.
Meeting minutes are sent to members to keep you current on the happenings. Members attending the meetings make
the final decisions for the club.
Our first meeting is from 2:35-3:15 pm on Wednesday, September 4 in room 403. Members at this meeting will start the
planning for this year's club. Complete the attached application and return it to Mrs. Short or Mrs Schaperjohn by Sep-
tember 4.
For those of you who want to join, but can't be at this meeting: Submit your form by the due date and you will be added
to the CNMS generationOn Club emails. Please write any project ideas on your form.
