Updates and News
Meals on Wheels
Since 1973, St. Tim’s parishioners have put the Gospel into practice through serving
with Southern Anoka County Meals on Wheels. Despite the challenges of Covid-19
which have required adaptations, more than 60 parishioners served in this ministry
in 2020. Coordinators Tom Kosel and Janet Robidoux organize two teams of
volunteers who drive one-hour routes once every eight weeks to deliver meals to
people in their homes. One volunteer driver, Paul Hanzelka, chose to serve with
Meals on Wheels after seeing it listed in the annual time and talent survey. “I am still
able-bodied (thank God!) and like to drive. It serves those who are shut in and are in
need of a good meal,” he said. Volunteering with Meals on Wheels is just one of many
ways that our parishioners put faith into practice
through community service. If you are interested in
volunteering as Meals on Wheels driver, email
[email protected] or call the
parish office to learn about joining in this ministry.
