As the battle against the Dark Legion cont inues, new andupgraded equipment is essential [0the success of themegacorporations and the Brotherhood. The generaltechnology to develop this equipment is available to each ofthe corporations and [he Cartel (but not to the Brotherhoodand the Dark Legion, and other possible forces) and thenumerous variations are nearly identical in function. Instead ofpresenting each corporation's version, all the generaltechnology is provided in this single document.

    GENE.RAL EQUIPMENTWEAPON CLOAK

Handguns, sniper rifles, and SMGs may be fitted with a cloakwhich adds 9 to rhe cost of the weapon. The cloak functions asboth a silencer and flash suppresser to prevent weapon firefrom being detected, The cloak enables you to fire yourweapon from hiding without giving away your position.Models with a hidden marker do not remove that marker whenfiring a weapon fitted with a cloak. Cloaks may be purchasedfor individuals, squad leaders or complete squads. Forindividuals and squad leaders, it counts as one piece of specialeq uipmenr, When buying cloaks for squads, each doak costsone point more, and each mode! In that squad which can beoutfitted with one must be given one.

RANGE ENHANCERAnyweapon, except sidearms, rocketlaunchers, and grenadelaunchers. may he equipped With a range enhancement deviceThis device looks like a scope and is attached to the weaponaccordingly. In addition, the Range Enhancer IS hardwired intothe weapon's firing chamber which releases an electronicimpulse as the round is fired. Th~ impulse propels the round ata greater velocity, thus permitting a greater range The RangeEnhancer costs one half the cost (rounded up) of the weaponbeing fitted. and provides an extended range equal to theweapon's CR+MX. All shots greater than the MX range are atdouble the weapon's RM. As With most other generalequipment if the device is purchased for a squad. all models inthe squad that may have one must be 0 equipped. This maynot be mounted on vehide weapons nor artillery (i.e. unholycarronades).

MOREEXPLOSIVESAll of the grenades listed III this section are thrown weaponsand are subject to the same rules as the grenades listed in thebasic rules As With standard grenades, if a squad is to be

equipped with grenades then they must be purchased forevery member of the squad.

THROWING GRENAPESTroops can now t hr ow grenade s 6 mches plus : the if strength.

GRENADE LAUNCHERSThere are two types of grenade Ialln~ There is the onedescribed III th e b as lc book with a r an ge of 1 0 Inches with acost of2 pts Then there IS a more powerful one that can on Ivbe mounted on an assault rifle or bought as a separateweapon: It has a range of 20 inches a rrururnurn range of 6Inches. and It costs 6 pts If you mount it on a weapon, or 10pts, If It IS bought as a separate weapon. You may only equipone model in a squad wtth a grenade launcher weapon insteadof hIS normal weapon. tf the squad consists of nine or moremodels (w he squad leader) two models may be equipped withthe grenade launcher. The ra ng e ca n n ev er ex cee d th e mosimum range -4 o f th e w ea po nIt ISmounted on (i f yo u maullt it on a w eap on ). FRAG GRENADESThe Fragmentation Grenade is the most versatile grenademade by all the megacorps. In fact. several variations exist andtwo of those are noted below.

TYPE IThe Type I frag grenade is the same as found in the basic rules.

TYPE IIThe Type" frag grenade uses the same template as [he Type Iversion but packs more explosives Into the same space. Theresult is a more damaging blast,

PYRO GRENADESThe pyro grenade creates an intense ball offire which ignitesanything it [ouches. This grenade uses the grenade templateand any model under it is set on fire just as [fit had been hitby a flarue-threwer, Work out damage in the same manner asfor name-throwers.
