TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH TRADE Glass Half Full is a social enterprise dedicated to seeing the lives of others
changed. We believe in the power of the positive and that we can all make a
difference. All our products have been sourced from organisations that not only
pay their craft artisans a fair wage; they are also dedicated to looking after their
workers and providing them with care and support with things like healthcare,
education and child care.
So buying from us means what….well the support of the fair trade industry,
because everyone deserves to be paid fairly whatever they are doing It also
supports the skill and craftsmanship taken to create all our products.
But it means even more….because we are a social enterprise this means that our
profits don’t get given to the directors as a Christmas bonus but we will
re-invested it back into other social enterprises. Currently we are supporting
the enterprise that is Grafton Sewing School in Sierra Leone. The school takes
on local women, particularly those involved in the sex trade and teaches them
skills of sewing and tailoring. Not only does this give them back their confidence
and sense of identity but it enables them to go on and create a new life for
themselves and their families.
