Forming the comparative
: the comparative from an adjective/adverb depends – on
the number of syllables and the spelling of the adjective/
adverb.

Form Rule For example
one syllable, ending in ‘e’. Add -r to the end of the word. wide - wider
one syllable, with one vowel
and one consonant at the end.
Double the consonant and add -
er

You can put a <-est> after an adjective or adverb, give the <most> before the adjective or adverb
