Your bid number is on your bid card. Please use your number to bid in the
Silent Auction, Dessert Dash, Raffle and Live Auction.
SILENT AUCTION: You may bid by writing your bid number opposite the
amount you wish to bid. Press hard: you are making two copies. You do not
have to fill in the next line; skip ahead to the amount you wish to bid. The next
bidder must bid a higher amount to be successful.
Silent Auction Guaranteed Purchase: If you really want an item, write your bid
number in the Guaranteed Purchase box and the item is yours. The Silent
Auction bidding stops when closing is announced. Any bids made after that
time are considered invalid. (continued on p. 10)
Page 10
DESSERT DASH: Your table will want first choice in selecting your dessert for
the evening. Each guest will have a Dessert Card and each table a Dessert
Envelope. Follow the lead of the auctioneer. She will instruct you to write your
bid number and donation amount on the Dessert Card. This amount will be
automatically added to your receipt for the evening. One guest at each table
will gather the cards and total them on the front of the Dessert Envelope. We
will do the rest. The totals are ranked from high to low and desserts are
selected in order. The table with the highest donation total receives first choice
of a dessert plus champagne.
LIVE AUCTION: Please feel free to come up and carefully look over all of the
Live Auction displays from the time the doors open until the start of the Live
Auction. To bid in the Live Auction, hold your bid number up high for the
auctioneer or bid spotter to see.
OTHER INFORMATION: All sales are final. Your final bid is a legal contract to
buy. The auctioneer’s decisions are final. All items must be paid in full tonight.
We gladly accept cash, checks, MasterCard, and VISA.
We regret that we are not able to offer delivery or storage of any of your
auction purchases. Please arrange to take your auction purchases home with
you tonight. Please do not remove any items from the Silent Auction tables. To
redeem your purchases, pay for them at the cashier’s table.
If you purchase a service, arrangements for the service are to be made
between the Purchaser and the Donor. Unless otherwise stipulated, gift
certificates expire one year from tonight.
Each bidder assumes all risks and hazards related to items obtained at the
auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising there
from Brigid Collins, its elected and appointed officials, members and
employees, the auctioneer, and all donors to the auction.
Please be generous in your bids. All proceeds go to support Brigid Collins’
programs and services. We hope you enjoy this evening full of fun and
charitable giving. Thank you for attending our auction!
RAFFLE: All proceeds benefit Brigid Collins. Tickets will be sold tonight only,

SILENT AUCTION PROCEEDS
Every $75 raised in our Silent Auction provides an at-risk
child and their family with a Parent-Child Interaction
Therapy (PCIT) parenting education session. This highly
acclaimed program has been proven to build strong
parenting skills through hands-on, one-on-one coaching with
a parenting specialist. Families who need this intensive
intervention have found it available at Brigid Collins for over
eight years.
Page 16
BRIGID COLLINS FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER
The mission of the Brigid Collins Family Support Center is to
break the cycle of child abuse. Our goals are that the
children we work with will not become victims of abuse and
for those who have been abused, that it will never happen
again.
Based on research and our own experience, we know if our
families effectively use community resources to build their
strengths and address their issues, if they reduce their
degree of isolation, and if they improve their family
management and parenting skills, child abuse will be less
likely to occur.
These are outcomes we strive for in all of our programs.
In 2014, approximately 2,000 families received support
from our prevention and treatment programs and benefited
from more than 31,000 contacts made with them directly or
with other service providers on their behalf.
Parents and children frequently share their gratitude for the
positive and lasting difference our services have made in
their lives.
Prevention works, treatment heals, and your support builds
strong families. Together we are breaking the cycle of child
abuse.
Page 17
Live auction proceeds will support the
‘one stop’ child-friendly services at the
Children’s Advocacy Center.
The Children’s Advocacy Center provides legal advocacy,
child interviews, medical evaluations, investigation team
staffings, family support, and therapeutic services for
children who are abused. The Center also provides
education and prevention services.
Child abuse hurts.
Our community response shouldn’t.
Thank you for your support!
