during one of the most horrific and controversial events in history.

tlc oMer proJect benefitting the children of flint the omer refers to the 49 day period between passover and shavuot, when it is customary to verbally “count” each day with a special blessing recitation. traditionally, we use counting the omer as a time of self-introspection. We are asking families to donate a dollar for each day, culminating at $49 per family. this year, the collection will benefit the children of Flint who are victims of great devastation due to a tainted water system. donations will go directly to the flint child health & development fund, used to aid children with
interventions that support positive health outcomes. please make checks payable to B’nai torah congregation (memo line: omer project), or visit www.btcboca.org/omerproject. For more information please contact summer Faerman, director of tlc, at [email protected] or (561) 392-8566 ext. 340. Booklets are available in the lobby.
