� The Department of Genito Urinary Surgery (Urology), at Bharati Hospital, Pune is
dedicated to providing holistic care with compassion to patients of Genito urinary
surgery problems by minimally invasive techniques and modern state-of-the-art
equipments. The team of Urologists at this hospital performs more than 1000 major
simple to complex genitourinary operations with successful outcome per year and
number is increasing year by year. Equipments include all types of rigid and flexible
endoscopes; complete Laparoscopy equipments, state-of-art "Dornier- Compact Delta",
Lithotripsy Machine (ESWL), Urodynamic Machine, Thulium 150 watt Laser for Prostate
Surgery, Holmium 30 watt Laser for Intra- corporeal Lithotripsy.
Department Milestones
Fully developed and fully equipped department of urology at Bharati Hospital is
functional since January 2014. Since then department has gradually increased number
of urologist available and presently has 06 urologists working in the department and
performing various complex Genitourinary Surgery 06 days in a week throughout the
year in a dedicated operation theatre with trained staff. Pre operative and Post
operative patient’s areas are looked after by trained and courteous nursing staff.
� Department has been provided with separate and dedicated male and
female urology wards.
� M.Ch Urology Programme has Started w.e.f. 01 Sept 2016 with Two seats
per year. Presently two II year and one I year residents are working in the
department.
