History:• Born Audrey Kathleen Ruston on May 4, 1929 in Brussels, Belgium • Age 5, Attended boarding school in London where she studied ballet• 1939, Audrey returned to Holland when England declared war on Germany• 1945, Audrey moved to Amsterdam with her mother Ella where she studied ballet, modern

jazz and avant-garde choreography at the Ballet-studio 45 until the school closed in 1948• In 1948, she auditioned for Marie Rambert from Ballet Rambert in London, she was accepted

with a full scholarship and dreamed to become a prima ballerina• While in England, Audrey took modeling jobs and was cast in a cabaret show called High

Button Shoes under the name Audrey Hepburn• 1950, Audrey landed a feature role in Sauce Piquante • Between 1950 and 1953, Audrey appeared in 5 films • 1953, French writer Colette spotted Audrey on the set of Monte Carlo Baby while searching for

someone to star as Gigi in the Broadway play in New York City• In 1954, she won the Oscar for best actress for her role as Princess Anne in Roman Holiday,

Hepburn’s first American motion picture at the age of 24• She was cast as the lead role in Sabrina in 1954 where she became friends with young French

designer Hubert de Givenchy • She met and dated Mel Ferrer while starring in Broadway’s Ondine also in 1954• September 1954, she married Mel Ferrer in Switzerland • 1956, she starred in War and Peace alongside husband Mel Ferrer• In 1957 she starred in Funny Face

History:• 1959, Audrey received another best actress nomination and golden globe nomination

for her role as sister nun in The Nun’s Story• In January of 1960, Hepburn gave birth to first son Sean Hepburn-Ferrer• In 1961, she starred in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, originally a novel by Truman Capote • Between 1961 and 1967 she starred in The Children’s Hour (1961), Charade (1963),

My Fair Lady (1964) and Wait Until Dark (1967) amongst others• In 1964, Hepburn reunited with her father Joseph Ruston who abandoned the family

when she was six• In 1968, Audrey and Mel divorced and Audrey settled with son Sean in Rome• While on a cruise in Greece, Hepburn met and married Dr. Andrea Dotti in 1969• In 1970, she gave birth to her second son Luca Dotti• By 1976 Hepburn starred opposite Sean Connery in Robin and Marian• In 1980 after 10 years of marriage Audrey and husband Andrea Dotti divorced• Soon after she met Dutch actor Robert Wolders who became her final companion• In 1988, Hepburn accepted what she considered her greatest role as a UNICEF

International Goodwill Ambassador • In 1989, she starred in her final film Always• On January 20, 1993, Audrey Hepburn passed away at the age of 64 with Robbie,

Sean and Luca by her side
