New Open-Access Journal in January 2013
ASM is pleased to announce the launch of Genome
Announcements, an online-only, open-access
journal in January 2013. The new title will publish
brief reports of genomes of particular organisms
that have been sequenced and deposited, and
provide a citable record of the corresponding
GenBank submission. Eukaryotic Cell, Journal of
Bacteriology, and Journal of Virology will cease
publishing Genome Announcements with the
last issues of the 2012 volume year. Genome
Announcements will be posted online on an article-
by-article basis and will be published as bimonthly
issues throughout the year. The new journal will be
included in online subscriptions to Eukaryotic Cell,
Journal of Bacteriology, and Journal of Virology.
Please be sure to add Genome Announcements to
your institution’s collection.
