MEET YOUR LTG! (virtually)
Hello Division 1 South! My name is Thuy Tran, your new Lieutenant Governor for the
2012-13 year! I’m so very excited to start working with you guys this year.
I am currently a sophomore at North Crowley HS, in Fort Worth, TX. This will be my
third year in Key Club, as well as my 3rd year taking on a higher leadership position
within Key Club International (freshman: Freshman Class Rep, sophomore: Co-Vice
President, junior: ……..) Key Club has been a very important aspect of my life. I’ve
committed my time into serving others—it’s become my absolute passion. Serving
others and my community is what I love, and the rewarding feeling afterwards is just
an added bonus. As your LTG, I feel compelled to share my passion and my love of
Key Club towards all the members within the division (it’s not a bad thing to be
forced at) and encourage service projects all year round.
Besides Key Club, I do enjoy… well I actually don’t enjoy anything else besides Key
Club… awkward. But speaking of awkward, I am quite shy and awkward when you
first meet me; maybe even a little hesitant. That’s just a habit of mines I’m
desperately trying to break. However, once I do break it, I am (if I do say so
myself…) quite funny and a bit sarcastic! So please do get to know me. Socializing is
most definitely my forte. Obviously.
I have many things to look forward to this year, and I hope you do too! There are
plenty of goals for me to accomplish, and I hope one of your club’s goal is to
complete the year in the Top 25 clubs! Division 1 South will be well represented this
year. Cheers to a great year! (I am a KCI rapper)

Kiwanis one day
Kiwanis One Day was held on April 21, 2012, at Tarrant Area Food Bank. A big thank you to LTG D1N, Amy Chrostiner, Kiwanis LTG Dennis Keifer, North Crowley Key Club members, and all Division 1 Kiwanians for attending and participating with! We packaged over 28,000 pounds of food that day.
For those that don’t know, Kiwanis One Day is Kiwanis’ annual day of service. It is Kiwanis’ way of urging all Kiwanis family members to unite together for a day of service within our communities. Missed One Day? There’s always next year! MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND THAT ONE.
Kiwanis one day
#14: Southwest High School
#16: North Crowley High School
This year’s dcon’s theme was “service is the key to paradise.” And indeed, paradise it was! If you didn’t attend, you definitely missed out on what our now, ip- convention liaison, colten meisner’s “paradise” (dcon). This year’s dcon was packed with exciting activities such as hula dancing, and special guest speakers from smu. Consider attending next year if you want a weekend of key club-filled FUN.
