• Closed 30th March
• Assessment April / May
• Interviews May / June
• Winning project announcements expected August / September
• Approved project value expected to be >£70m (£35m Grant)
Scope outline:
• Projects should aim to be between £5M and £40M in size.
• Consortia may apply for no more than 50% funding.
• Projects must be: collaborative, business led and include an SME partner.
• The technology should have a clear route to market with a Tier 1 supplier or OEM in the consortium.
• All partners will be charged 3.5% of their grant award as contribution to APC activities. Academic partners are not exempt.

Innovate UK Manufacturing and Materials Competition for funding – May 2016
Timing: Competition opens in May, closes 13 July Full Scope to be published during May: Will be broader in scope than previous competitions and allow for projects at different stages of the innovation journey Will cover: •Innovation in a manufacturing system, technology, process or business model •Innovation in materials development, properties, integration or reuse to enable a step change in competitiveness for at least one UK SME Funding: Up to £15m in grants available Must be company led and involve at least one SME
