PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
In the long history, St. John’s College has always been stick
on to its motto, “From darkness Lead Us Unto Light”. Our tradition is
to recognize the activities and meticulousness of the teachers and
students, and at this right moment we are happy to felicitate our
achievers on the occasion of College Annual day 2018-19.
Distinction of the staff members and the students are a mark of
excellence for any college and a moment of pride for the head of the institution.
A combination of academic activities and extra-curricular activities in a harmonious way
is essential for the personality development of the students. Participation in group activities
during cultural events develops a sense of solidarity among students and inculcates humanistic
values. Our college has always encouraged students to actively participate in both, academic and
extra-cultural activities to bind their energy in innovative quest.
I convey my heartiest congratulations to my colleagues for their feat in their respective
departments during 2018-2019 and to all the students for their great achievements in various
fields ranging from NCC, NSS and Sports to debate, creative writing, music, dance and drama. It
is delightful to register that our students have not only exposed their talents and ability but also
brought laurels to the college in various inter-collegiate events.
The foremost thing in bringing forward a new and better tomorrow lies in the enrichment
of human relationship and understanding. There is always hope which will naturally strengthen
the process of attainment of the new visions of humanity. As I dedicate myself for the betterment
of the institution, I sincerely hope that together we can make great things possible. I hereby
express my belief that our institution will certainly set benchmarks that cannot be surpassed. Let
us take a vow to ensure a better tomorrow.
Dr. S. John Kennady Vethanathan
Principal, St. John’s College
