ANNUAL REPORT 2018
“Education is the passport to the future, for
tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it
today”
Guest of the day Hon. Justice Jacob Benjamin
Koshy, Very Rev.P.T.Thomas, President of the Mar
Thoma Educational Society, Our Manager,
Rev.Sam.K.Easow, Members of the Executive
Committee, Board of Directors, Members of the
Mar Thoma Educational Society, Respected Achens,
Distinguished Guests, Beloved Parents, Well-
wishers, Members of the Staff and My dear students.
Children have to be prepared and equipped to tackle
the challenges of living in the modern world.
Teaching should therefore not be focused solely on
learning the academic content but also mastering life
skills such as developing team spirit, creative and
critical thinking for lifelong learning. With the
2 | P a g e
above objective in mind, C B S E has attempted to
integrate and main stream Health and Physical
Education across the Secondary and Senior
secondary levels. Mainstreaming requires the
coming together of the Class Teacher, Physical
Education teacher and teachers of other disciplines.
The mandatory nature of this discipline needs all
students to participate in an innovative way through
the four strands Games/Sports, Health and Fitness,
SEWA and Health and Activity Card. It is
mandatory for the school to allot a period every day
in the time table for H P E and to upload a report of
work accomplished across the strands of grade X
and XII, for enabling students to appear for the
board exam.
Thanking God Almighty I present the 29th Annual
Report of Mar Thoma Public School for the
academic year 2018-19.
This Institution of Learning owned and managed by
the Mar Thoma Educational Society has a dedicated
band of 76 teaching staff of which 58 teach subjects.
