It is always very exhilarating to watch the progress of Anand Pharmacy College. Our family is like a firmly rooted tree, with branches that continue to grow in different directions, but never lose touch with the strong roots. Our faculties and students strive very hard to water this tree with knowledge, wisdom and care; and take immense pride and satisfaction in nurturing it and watching it grow to reach at pinnacle of success. The institute has always proven it's strength in academics, research, co-curricular as well as extracurricular activities.
This newsletter is the reflection of the success of both the institute as well as individual faculty and students. It highlights the effort which has been incorporated by the APC family during the course of one year time period. IPA Anand Local Branch bagged "Outstanding Local Branch Award" for its excellent performance and contributions in supporting the objectives of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association for the year 2018. The branch was established in December, 2010. And since its inception, it has been continuously working for the professional and social awareness through the programs like free health checkup camp, exhibitions, street play in rural area and many more throughout the year. In such a short span of its establishment, it's the second time that the branch has been bestowed with this prestigious award. Dr. Tejal Gandhi, President, IPA Anand Branch and Dr. Veena Patel, Hon. Secretary, IPA Anand Branch had received the award during IPA Award's & Fellowship Dinner function on 22nd December 2018 at Delhi.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON END TUBERCULOSIS (TB) STRATEGY: 2030Two days National Conference supported by CSIR, ICMR and SEED-DST on “End Tuberculosis (TB) Strategy: 2030” during August 10-11, 2018 attended by over 150 delegates from across India. Dr. Vaishali Thakkar was Coordinator and Ms. Ruby Christian was Co-coordinator.

A skill enhancement initiative for Pharmaceutical Professionals to enhance the problem solving capacities of product development to life cycle management sponsored by SSIP, Govt. of Gujarat was

GUJARAT STATE PHARMACY COUNCIL (GSPC) SPONSORED TWO DAYS REFRESHER COURSEThe ICT (Information and communications technology) enables the teachers learn the newer teaching methods using the digital brain computer out breaking the mundane styles. Workshop on ICT: A
stteaching tool for proficient pedagogy" was organised on 21 March, 2018 sponsored by SSIP, Govt. of Gujarat. 67 teachers and educators from vivid field had attended the workshop.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMP – 2019
Three days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp in association with Anand Institute of Information Science was organized during February 14 - 16, 2019 sponsored by NSTEDB, EDI and SSIP – Gujarat. Free Women Health Check-Up & Awareness Camp at FanganiVillage
IPA Anand Local Branch in association with Shri Krishna Hospital, Karamsad had organized free Women st stHealth Check-up & Awareness Camp at Fangani Village on 31 July and 1 August, 2018 to spread
awareness by play and poster about health and hygiene amongst women, address various health
problems faced by them along with early detection and prevention of breast cancer. Total 35 beneficiaries
had taken advantage of free check-up camp.
Pharmacy Awareness Program in School
Presentation on “Pharmacists: Your Medicine Expert” at D. N. Higher Secondary School, Anand covered awareness program on What is Pharmacy?, Know Your Pharmacist, Self-medication, Consequences of irresponsible use of medicines, Tips on taking medicines, medicines and children etc. Total 113 students of
th12 standard were beneficiaries of the awareness program.
