In a TETRA over IP network
A gateway is seen as a Base Station
Gateways can be located anywhere in the network
GW subscribers, PABX subscribers, Dispatchers, etc... are processed as radio subscribers
TETRA over IP provides several benefits
=> Tetra/PABX numbering scheme association,
=> Call forwarding between MS and external subscribers,
=> Group call from outside the TETRA network
=> Emergency call, pre-emption, call queuing available
IP DATA Gateway
• Provides for IP Over Tetra
• Mobile internet
• IP address migration
• IP/ITSI management
• More than a “simple” client / server : both way connection
