Put our Right to Keep and BearArms back in the KansasConstitutionOCT 27, 2010 04:59P.M.
Put our Right to Keep and Bear Arms back in the Kansas
Constitution On November 2nd
Take Action Vote YES on 1 November 2nd!
Kansas State Rifle Association
Topeka, Kansas --(Ammoland.com)- A 1905 court ruling from the
Kansas Supreme Court took the interpretation of Section 4 of the Kansas
Constitution to mean the Right to Keep and Bear Arms only exists as a
collective right for those in the militia or military and “NO INDIVIDUAL
RIGHT EXISTS.”
For that reason, the NRA has worked with the Kansas State Rifle
Association, Senator Mike Petersen and the Legislature, to pass a
Constitutional Amendment during the 2009 legislative session, which
provides new language that clarifies Section 4 and GUARANTEES an
individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms. The language reads:
“A person has the right to keep and bear arms for the defense
of self, family, home and state, for lawful hunting and
recreational use, and for any other lawful purpose.”
Our elected officials have done law-abiding Kansans a tremendous
service by passing this landmark Constitutional Amendment.
Now it is up to YOU to do your part on November 2, 2010 and vote this
provision into the Kansas Constitution.
Here’s what you can do right now to put our Right to Keep and Bear
arms back in the Kansas Constitution:
1. Immediately place a bumper sticker on your car or truck to help
encourage other gun owners and freedom-loving Kansans to
support YES ON 1.
2. Visit our “Yes on 1″ website at www.nraila.org/YesOn1 to sign up,
volunteer, and become a vocal advocate in protecting our right to
Keep and bear Arms! You can also call us at (800) 392-VOTE
(8683).
3. Become a “Fan” or “Like” “YES ON 1 Committee” on Facebook and
encourage all your friends to do the same.
4. Please encourage your friends, family, fellow gun owners, and
hunters to vote “YES ON 1″ on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
5. Contact NRA-ILA Grassroots for more bumper strips and to find
out more ways to become involved! You can also call us at (800)
392-VOTE (8683).

Plan to Combat Deadly White-Nose Syndrome in Bats Seeks
Comments
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
Washington, DC --(Ammoland.com)- White-nose syndrome (WNS)
has killed more than a million bats in the Northeast and has spread to 11
or more states in less than four years since its discovery near Albany,
New York.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, in collaboration with other federal
and state agencies, and tribal governments, is proposing a coordinated
national management plan to address this critical environmental issue.
The proposed plan is available for review and comment beginning
October 28, 2010.
The proposed plan, a joint federal-state effort, provides a framework for
WNS investigation and response. A subsequent implementation plan will
identify specific actions, the entities responsible for implementation of
each action, and estimated costs.

working in concert on the white-nose syndrome response,”
said WNS National Coordinator Jeremy Coleman, Ph.D., of
the Service.
“The national management plan will help guide our use of
limited resources wisely and efficiently in addressing this
urgent threat to bats and to our environment.”
The Service will accept public comments on the proposed plan through
December 26, 2010, to gather additional scientific and commercial
information for consideration before the plan becomes final.

National Coordinator, New York Field Office, 3817 Luker Road,

In addition to its online availability, the proposed plan may be viewed
during weekday business hours by appointment at the New York Field
Office by calling 607-753-9334. Individuals who are deaf or hard-of-
hearing may call the Federal Relay Service at 800-877-8339.
The proposed plan includes an overall strategy for investigating the
cause of WNS and finding a way to manage it. The plan identifies key
actions and the roles of federal and state agencies and other entities in
addressing WNS nationally. It identifies seven focus areas of
responsibility — communications, scientific and technical information
dissemination, diagnostics, disease management, research coordination,
disease surveillance, and conservation and recovery of affected species.

Manasquan, NJ --(Ammoland.com)- In a recent report released by the

The chart below represents the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms
and Explosives statistical records that exist on the total number of
National Firearms Act transfer stamps issued by state Form 4s for
approved silencers per fiscal year. States omitted from this report may
not allow the sale of silencers. Number of silencers processed per Form 4
not available. *Fiscal year is defined as October 1-September 30.
Texas leads states with 3,621 approved sales, followed closely by Florida,
2,053 and Georgia at 1,153. Conspicuously missing are the anti gun
nanny states of California, New Jersey and Rhode Island, who you would
think would be first to encourage hearing protection and reduced noise
pollution?
Silencers or Suppressors have long suffered from a negative image
among the general public due to having been used and abused by
gangsters, criminals, poachers, spies and assassins in both real life and
in the movies. This has given them a somewhat unsavory image and an
image that detracts from there value as a hearing protection device.
The general public are of the belief that silencers are illegal, when in fact
they are quite legal and in general usage as a noise reduction device in
much of United States. In the states where they are still illegal the Laws
and Regulations on Noise Polution, Health & Safety at Work etc are in
direct conflict with Firearms Legislation outlawing the use of
Suppressors on Firearms.

Bill White’s TX CampaignAWOL on Open Carry IssueOCT 27, 2010 12:36P.M.
Bill White’s TX Campaign AWOL on Open Carry Issue
Petition for Texas open carry continues to attract supporters.
OpenCarry.org
Texas --(Ammoland.com)- Texas is one of only 7 states still banning the
open carry of properly holstered handguns, but apparently that doesn’t
bother the Texas Democratic candidate for Governor, Bill White, or his
campaign handlers.
Over the last few weeks, White’s campaign staffers, including
Communications Director Ali Smith, have stiff-armed repeated inquiries
from OpenCarry.org regarding the restoration of open carry rights in
Texas.
The question put to White’s campaign was pretty straight forward:
“If a future legislature passed a bill restoring open carry
rights in Texas, would a Governor White be inclined to sign
it?”
Ali Smith took several calls on the matter but ultimately just empty
promised that “[s] omeone will call you.”
OpenCarry.org’s John Pierce says “we know that “Gov. Rick Perry
supports, at least in concept, . . . open carry,”
Therefore, “the choice before Texas gun owners on November
2nd is very stark. Voters must choose between a candidate
who runs from gun rights policy questions, or Rick Perry who
frequently carries a gun himself for self-defense, and is
prepared to stand his ground when necessary.”
Meanwhile, no matter who wins the Texas Governor’s race,
OpenCarry.org is driving on with its online petition to restore Texas open
carry rights at http://www.petitiononline.com/ texasoc.
This valuable tool allows voters to register that demand for open carry
rights, and at the same time allows gun rights organizers to collect tens
of thousands of pro-gun email addresses of Texas voters for future use to
promote open carry and other gun rights policy initiatives.

Introducing the Tuff Truck BagOCT 27, 2010 12:06P.M.
Introducing the Tuff Truck Bag
Tuff Truck Bags
TuffTruckBag
Alabama --(Ammoland.com)- On a dry day, the bed of your truck works
great for hauling gear to and from your hunting spot, fishing lake,
campsite or sports event, but how do you transport your gear when rain
or snow is in the forecast? The new Tuff Truck Bag solves this problem.
Tough, durable, waterproof and resistant to the elements, the Tuff Truck
Bag keeps your luggage and gear safe and dry when in the bed of your
truck. Measuring 40″ wide x 50″ long and 22″ tall, this large, but
lightweight bag can hold almost anything you’d normally haul in your
truck, and it is a great alternative to and more economical than a bed
cover, cap or truck bed canopy.
The heavy duty, commercial grade 40″ opening zips from end to end on
the front, and even goes around the bag’s corner areas to create a “large
mouth” opening. A waterproof, triple-layered, fold-over flap covers the
zipper to protect your cargo from water and other outdoor elements.
All Tuff Truck Bags are made from waterproof, heavy duty, non-
breathable PVC material and all seams are water-tight sealed using heat
fusion and epoxy.
Heavy duty metal rings are fused in all eight bag corners in order to
easily fasten the truck bag to any truck. Four adjustable bungee cords are
included with each Tuff Truck Bag.
The Tuff Truck Bag has also been designed to fit snug into any full or
mid-size truck bed, but not take over all of the bed space so that you can
still use your truck bed if needed. The bags can even be used in
conjunction with traditional pickup truck boxes to maximize storage
space. The Tuff Truck Bag easily collapses to stow when not in use and
can be rolled up for storage in the included tote bag.
Features at a glance:
• Black in color
• Waterproof and weatherproof
• 40″ wide x 50″ long x 22″ tall
• Holds 26 cubic feet of space
• Heat fusion & epoxy sealed seams
• Triple fold flap to cover and shield zipper
• Heavy duty to withstand the elements
• Lightweight & collapsible for easy storage
• Comes with storage tote bag
• Heavy duty rings to secure the bag to any truck
• 4 adjustable bungee cords included

Jim Cawley will be there in person to meet and talk with us about the
issues and the status of the Governor’s race.
The recent statements by Tom Corbett’s opponent, Dan Onorato, who is
continuing to expand his bought and paid for anti-gun positions
($10,000 from the anti-gun group Cease Fire PA), show his disdain for
our safety (he would veto the self defense bill-Castle Doctrine) ‘and’ our
constitution (allowing local communities to decide if the constitution
applies there), among others.
Please consider coming to this rally to show the anti-gun groups and
Onorato that you care about our freedoms and give a rousing send off to
the Corbett/Cawley team!
Please review the attached flyer containing the event information and try
to attend this rally to show our support for a new direction in the
Governor’s office and Tom Corbett’s team. Your contribution and
sacrifice of time is greatly appreciated and will not go unnoticed. You will
also have the opportunity to meet Lt. Governor Candidate Jim Cawley
personally.
THANK YOU for your time and consideration of this message. If the
above request is not geographically convenient for you or your schedule
does not permit you to help then please consider asking anyone you
know in these areas to consider joining us in support of Tom Corbett and
Jim Cawley. We have all seen the importance of electing good people to
office and the damage that can be done if we do not.

Kim Stolfer, Chairman
PS: MANY Americans are awakening to the realization that, like never
before, our Constitutional freedoms and our very way of life is under
attack. In many ways, this election is a referendum on YOU (the
individual citizen), the people of this Commonwealth and this country,
and not the politicians. PLEASE try to make this event on Friday and
PLEASE make sure you vote on November 2nd!!! Thank you!

Associated Gun Clubs Of Baltimore Candidate
Recommendations
Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore
Maryland --(Ammoland.com)- AmmoLand readers: this is when I
remind you AGAIN of the critical importance of your vote in the General
Election.
A very strong pro 2nd Amendment voter turn-out is critical. What you do
or fail to do on election day will play a part in determining the political
future of Maryland for at least the next 4 years.
Redistricting occurs every 10 years. The next Governor will have a key
roll in deciding where the voting district lines will be drawn.
Print The Candidate Recommendations Sheet – See Link
Below Take It With You To The Polls!
Please make a point of voting, urge your family members and friends to
vote. Make copies of the candidate recommendations and distribute
them. If you can, volunteer to be an election judge or work for your
candidates at your voting precinct.
Best regards,
John H. Josselyn

About Our Recommendations And Comments On Some Of The
Candidates

Today’s Tabbloid PERSONAL NEWS FOR [email protected] 28 October 2010

Our Methodology
When we make candidate recommendations, we are primarily concerned
with the candidate’s position on 2nd Amendment issues. Unfortunately,
the political landscape rarely presents us with clear cut decisions,
especially when 2 or more candidates are equally qualified on 2nd
Amendment criteria. We are then compelled to consider other factors as
well.
There is probably no such thing as the perfect candidate. We must do the
best we can for our members with the candidates who are running for
election. Not recommending the best available candidate just because he
or she is not the perfect candidate does a disservice to our members.
In a race between equally pro 2nd Amendment non-incumbent
candidates, in addition to the candidate’s responses to our survey, any
personal knowledge we have of the candidate, information from our
members who bring their personal knowledge to our attention, related
political experience, electability (being pro 2nd Amendment is not
enough to get a candidate elected), the strength of the candidates
personality.
When a race involves an incumbent running for re-election to the same
seat or a different seat, the primary consideration is the incumbent’s past
voting record. Many candidates know how to answer a questionnaire in
order to gain the approval of this or that special interest group.
Therefore, we consider candidate surveys to be of limited value,
especially when an incumbent’s voting record is readily available. Talk is
cheap, votes are what count.
The very last and least consideration is the candidate’s political party
affiliation. Race, gender, creed and any personal connections or issues
we may have with a candidate are never considerations.
Difficult Decisions
This election, we were faced with difficult choices in many of the
Maryland General Assembly races. We ultimately recommended some of
the candidates District 8, District 30 because they are incumbents with
voting records.
We were very impressed with the following challengers and we believe
that they would serve equally well if elected:
• District 8 – Senate: Dee Hodges is a former member of Mt.
Washington Rod & Gun Club who spent many sessions in
Annapolis testifying in support of our 2nd Amendment Rights. As
President and then Chairman of the Maryland Taxpayers
Association, she has testified for passage of a Taxpayer Bill of
Rights.
• District 8 – House: Norma Secoura returned a perfect candidate
survey and has related experience which would benefit her as a
Delegate.
• District 30 – Senate: Ron Elfenbein combines strong support for
the 2nd Amendment with the energy and enthusiasm to make good
things happen for the citizens of Maryland.
• District 32 – House: Stephanie Hodges and David Starr, both
presented solid pro-2nd Amendment candidate surveys and both
are certainly worthy of serious consideration by gun owners in
District 32.

Mastiff
San Francisco, CA --(Ammoland.com)- Leading video game publisher
Mastiff LLC today announced Reload, a realistic weapons and tactics
simulator for Wii, PC and iPhone, which will put players into the boots of
exhibition shooters, soldiers and law enforcement officials.
Featuring more than twenty-five weapons from some of the best known
firearms and shooting gear manufacturers, players will be able to take to
the range, deploy into the field or run through various drills with
accurate likenesses of weapons and equipment used by professionals all
over the world.
Reload is one of the first non-violent tactical shooting simulators ever
created; focusing on the experience of professional shooting without the
blood and violence that usually permeates other games in the FPS genre.
Reload has been given a “T” rating by the ESRB and is considered
suitable for everyone ages 13 and up.
Reload will be released on the Wii system from Nintendo and Windows
PC in winter 2010 for $19.99. Reload will also be available for the iPhone
later in the year.
Remington, whose brand recognition is second only to Nike with
sportsmen, is featured prominently in Reload within the game’s target
and skeet shooting levels. Whether players are looking for the power of
the 870 Express Super Slug or the accuracy of the R-15 450 Bushmaster,
players will see and hear accurate recreations of the latest Remington
firearms, such as:
• 887 Nitro Mag
• Model 1100 Tac4
• Model 700 CDL SF

exclusive supplier of protective eyewear to the US military, Magnum
Research, the manufacturer of legendary magnum-caliber Desert Eagle
Pistol, and Champion Traps and Targets, makers of eco-friendly clay
targets and shooting accessories used by professional shooters
throughout the world. Players will take aim with heavy duty firepower
such as the M32 grenade launcher, the AR-16 and the AA-12 shotgun,
frequently called the ultimate military weapon due to its ability to deliver
almost 300 12-gauge rounds in a minute.
Other military weaponry included within Reload are:
• AK-47
• MP5
• M-107
• .50 Cal LRSR
• .50 Cal Mounted on M988 Troop Carrier

“Having accurate likenesses of the real firearms and shooting
equipment in our games dramatically amps up the realism
factor.”
Reload is designed as a fast-paced, fun and easy to play simulator for up
to four players that presents a variety of target training events and
scenarios to test your skills. Players can take aim on an indoor or
outdoor range and fire at stationary or moving targets or test your speed
and accuracy with reflex drills. Based on the players score and accuracy,
additional medals, gear and rewards will be unlocked.
Players interested in tactical situations can engage in scenarios set in
places like embassies, apartments and villages, where players will need
to hit “bad guy” targets while leaving “hostages” alone both on foot and
from the turret of a mini-gun and .50 Cal mounted on a M998 troop
carrier. All of the firearms found within Reload are modeled for accurate
likenesses and sounds, and come from leading arms manufacturers that
are some of the best known brand names in hunting and shooting gear.

Remington Attacked By CNBC
Remmington Model 700 5-R series Rifle
National Rifle Association
Charlotte, NC --(Ammoland.com)- This week, CNBC aired an hour-
long attack on the Remington 700 rifle, rehashing decades-old
allegations about the popular rifle’s trigger system.

(Interestingly, the network’s “10-month investigation” aired
just a few months after a press release went out from a
Kansas City law firm that has sued Remington in the past,
seeking plaintiffs for new cases against the gun maker.)
While CNBC and plaintiffs’ lawyers claim the rifle will fire without the
trigger being pulled, Remington says that neither the company nor the
plaintiffs’ expert witnesses have ever been able to cause such a discharge
in a properly maintained, unaltered rifle.
The program also repeated the gun ban lobby’s longstanding complaint
that the Consumer Product Safety Commission doesn’t have the power to
order recalls of firearms and ammunition. Congress’s wisdom in refusing
to give CPSC that power was proven in the 1990s, when CPSC staff told
the Clinton White House the agency “would love to get into the gun
regulation business” and anti-gun Sen. Howard Metzenbaum (D-Ohio)
introduced legislation to remove the restriction.
The NRA is second to no one in supporting and promoting firearm
safety, and NRA publications have regularly published announcements
of voluntary recalls by gun and ammunition manufacturers. Yet since
long before “Dateline NBC” used rocket motors to blow up pickup trucks
in staged collisions, gun owners have rightly been skeptical of the
mainstream media’s ability to report fairly and accurately on firearms
issues.
These attacks on Remington are far from over, and NRA members who
want to hear the company’s side of the story can visit Remington’s new
website on the issue at www.remington700.tv.
