Kowai Walkway at LeithfieldStarts at Old Leithfield Hotel andcontinues alongside the Kowai Riverto Leithfield Beach. Check out thecoastal lagoon and the beach spitwhile you are there or listen out forthe many sounds of birdlife.
Wetlands at Amberley BeachBuilt by the Amberley Lions. Flatground so wheelchair/pushchairfriendly. Stage 1 - Lagoon Loopincludes car parking area. Stage2 - Golf Links Loop 850m longapprox and includes 70m ofboardwalk. Combined stages 1and 2 make a figure "8" and totalabout 2kms. Stage 3 - oncecompleted will take you throughto the Ti Kouka Wetland area.
Mt Cass Walkway at WaiparaThe summit is approx 400m high;take in its unusual limestonelandscape. Spectacular views ofPegasus Bay and North Canterbury.Closed - August & September forlambing. Reasonable fitness required.
Tuke Ngghere Bush Walk at WaiauEye catching expanse of native andexotic bush. Purchased by earlyconservationist J K Forbes in 1944 whenit was rough and badly eroded. Overthe years he transformed it by plantinga mixture of native and exotic trees.
Kaikoura Coast Track3 night private walking track(approx 40km) or 2 day mountainbike (bring your own bike). Thetrack takes you through thebreathtaking beauty of theKaikoura Coast, magnificentviews of mountains, sea, bushand remote farmland.
Hurunui High Country Track3 night private walking track onIsland Hills Station. Reasonablelevel of fitness is required. Trackcovers 30km. Walk through diversevegetation and dramaticlandscapes including farmland,beech forest and sub-alpine terrain.
