IN SPRING OF 2005, WE WELCOMED GRAMMY® Award winning superstar AliciaKeys into our Yamaha Artist Services, New York (YASI) offices on 5th Avenue andEast 54th Street in Manhattan. YASI is our classical piano artist facility, so this was amagical occasion not only because we were going to be able to capture Alicia forour cover, but also because it was the first time we were going to be photographinga pop artist in our New York facility. Alicia was fresh off The Diary Tour, which tookher from coast to coast that spring, but despite her tiring schedule, she was morethan accommodating. The photo shoot was relatively quick and interspersed with moments of Alicia playing the piano and telling short stories. Always generous in nature, immediately after our All Access photo shoot, Alicia posed with theBoys and Girls Club of America in our piano salon.
