AFS Texas Golf Tournament

Shane Allen, Head of Synchro ERP North American Operations, represented Team Synchro at the AFS Texas annual golf tournament. This is an annual fundraiser for the college scholarship fund which benefits AFS Texas member’s children and grandchildren. Early estimates, by the Chairman Shawn Ingram, indicate that over $18,000 was raised this year - shattering last year's record.

I would estimate that there were about 55 golfers participating in the event and each hole was sponsored by a company. Eric Meyers President of Oil City Iron Works located in Corsicana Texas USA, ordered up perfect weather for the golf outing. Although a bit cool and windy to start with, especially for late April, the day ended up being perfect.

The evening program and dinner was held at the Corsicana Country club and was a fantastic "surf and turf" meal. The distinguished speaker that evening was Texas Congressman Joe Barton, Republican, who spoke on the need to balance the

Federal budget and improve the manufacturing environment to foster continued growth. http://joebarton.house.gov/
