CBRG TopicsOur reviews include 59 intervention reviews (including 3 reviews with a focus on prevention) and 3 diagnostic test accuracy reviews. As shown in the figure to the right, the majority of our intervention reviews (81%) examine non-pharmacological treatments for back and/or neck pain. These reviews cover a range of interventions including, but not limited to, educational interventions (e.g., back schools, individual patient education), injections (e.g., prolotherapy), manual therapy (e.g., massage), exercise therapy, and complementary alternative medicine (e.g., acupuncture, herbal medicine).

During the Open Meeting we will give an update on CBRG activities, hold a “speed data-ing” session, engage in a priority-setting exercise, and present awards to CBRG contributors. The afternoon sessions will cover methodological developments in systematic reviews. The topics will include prognosis reviews, harms reviews, and diagnostic test accuracy reviews. Each session will include a presentation and ample time for discussion. Please contact Allison Kelly at [email protected] to indicate whether you will be attending the Open Meeting, the methods presentations, or both.
