Thanks again to Cary Allen for hosting the Marchmeeting at Gateway Classic Cars. 21 members plus5 guests attended at this Saturday club meeting.
As I mentioned in the meeting, Gov. Bill Haslamand Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor FloraTydings were scheduled to formally open theTennessee College of Applied Technology atMurfreesboro's Smyrna Campus and NissanTraining Center on March 31st. Chuck asked thatwe provide some vehicles for the event andmembers provided a great response. Thanks toDon Wolfe (Hellcat Charger), Mike & Jo AnnTanner (Lil Red Express and Hellcat Challenger),Jack Stone (Dart GTS), David Denney (GTX), ScottKarns (Superbird) and Ken Martin (Duster) forsupporting Chuck.
In addition to supporting Chuck, members alsotraveled to the Big Easy Mopar Association’s eventwhere Don Wolfe, Jeremy Chenault and MikeThomas won awards. Also, thirteen or fourteenmembers travelled to Chattanooga for the Cruise-in on April 1st. This year’s event seemed muchlarger than years past. We also saw many of ourMopar friends from other clubs.
As I continue to say, members are what make theMusic City Mopar Club such a great organization.Membership renewals continue to trickle in and Iwant to welcome new members Dennis Gorrell andRussell Risley (original member #10 who joined atthe March meeting). Membership now stands at149 and climbing.

Pictured is one of the vehicles on display in ChuckVaughn’s shop at TCAT on 03-31. Do you know itsidentity? Hints: It is a Mopar ~ The owner is not aMusic City Mopar Club member ~ L.Y. was not legallyold enough to drive during its model year and theengine is a straight 8. The vehicle identity will beshared at the April Club Meeting if someone asks.
More pictures from TCAT are on pages 3 and 8.

The March meeting of the Music City Mopar
Club was held at the Lavergne showroom of Gateway
Classic Cars after their monthly cars & coffee event.
Thanks to club member Carey Allen for arranging for
us to use their facility. Please remember to visit
them if you want to buy a new ride or sell your car.
After approving the minutes of the February
meeting the club welcomed new member Russell Risley
Sr. The membership now stands at 148.
The new sales contact for club members at
Nashville Dodge is Joseph Newsom {615-967-9569}.
Please keep them in mind if you are shopping for a
new or used ride. Best policy is to call before visiting
the dealership.
Events director James Peach was not feeling
well and did not attend, but he is still working on the
volunteer list for the Good Guys show. If you have
not helped out before, come out and enjoy the day.
You will see some great cars and vendors and you will
have plenty of time to check out everything.
Club President Donny Lippard reported that 4
club members attended the Big Easy show in New
Orleans. Don Wolfe won the "Best Undercarriage"
award and Mike and Jeremy picked up sponsor
awards.
Stan Hardcastle reported on another good time
that several members had at the Indy swap meet. If
you need parts for your project, this is always one of
the best events of the year.
For you truck guys, there will be a vintage truck
show in Leipers Fork April 8.
The Cars for Kids show at the Tennessee Baptist
Children's Home in Brentwood is coming up April 15.
April 29 is the date for the Wings and Wheels event
in Mt. Pleasant at the Maury County airport.
The 2nd Southeast Moparty Picnic is fast
approaching. There will be things going on both Friday
May 12 and Saturday May 13. Please contact James
Peach if you plan on attending either day. Several
members are planning to go down on Friday to attend
the cruise to Coker Tire and the drag racing later in
the day. This should be a fun event that will continue
to grow.
As for our show, both Tim Welborn and Herb
McCandless are planning to attend. Hopefully nothing
will keep them from joining us. We have some new
show flyers. If you want some to distribute at the
cruise-in's and shows that you attend, please pick
some up at the next meeting. Unless we come up with
another meeting place, we will try to meet at
After the business meeting, several members took time toview the vehicles on display in the Gateway Showroom.Rumor: One member and his lovely bride showed up for the12 o’clock club meeting at 1:30 pm. Hmmmmmm?
