Twenty years of football at Robert Morris University coincides with the legendary career of the only head coach the Colonials have ever known…the legendary Joe Walton! And while his football coaching career comes to an

end at the conclusion of the 2013 season, his legacy will live on in Moon Township forever. Six Northeast Conference championships in the 17-year history of the league. One NCAA playoff berth since the league secured an automatic bid in 2010. Numerous academic and athletic All-Americans and so many lives touched and coaching careers launched…all thanks to him! For good measure, there’s a stadium named in his honor too! He’ll be the only inductee into the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame in November, and the honor is fitting as he retires and assistant head coach John Banaszak takes over. Right now, you need to get your tickets and be a part of this historic season in Joe Walton Stadium at RMU. It surely will be one to remember.
