8/20/2019 20 July 2015 Letter to Senate Committee on Energy
1/22
Re: Oil Refining - Considering future eventualities versus the myopia of the present (letter #18)
Dear Members of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources,
On July 6, I sent you my sixteenth letter which included a second multiple-choice survey (oncard stock) for your convenience. If your response crossed this letter in the mail, thank you!
I visited your office (then the ENR Committee office at 304 Dirksen twice) during May. As Ihanded ENR staff my letters #11, #12 and #13, I explained that you would surely want tounderstand the dire prospects and reasons I asked the ENR committee to call a hearing ofpetroleum CEOs. Surely your staff have communicated the essence of my concerns to you
In case you are unaware of my efforts to communicate, here is a photograph of letter #16and enclosures to help you determine the reason for not having heard of my concerns.
I again offer to mail or email you thecomplete chronology of my letters toyou — it is that important.
I hope that you and America’s best
and brightest policy makers manageto come up with contingency plans.
Enclosed is a fourth copy of thesurvey, as well as a request of yourScheduler to arrange for 10 to 15minutes for me to meet with you.

8/20/2019 20 July 2015 Letter to Senate Committee on Energy
15/22
Re: Oil Refining - Considering future eventualities versus the myopia of the present (letter #18)
Dear Members of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources,
On July 6, I sent you my sixteenth letter which included a second multiple-choice survey (oncard stock) for your convenience. If your response crossed this letter in the mail, thank you!
I visited your personal office at 702 Hart twice during May, and as I handed your staff myletters #11, #12 and #13, I explained that you would surely want to understand the direprospects and reasons I asked the ENR committee to call a hearing of petroleum CEOs.Surely your staff have communicated the essence of my concerns to you.
In case you are unaware of my efforts to communicate, here is a photograph of letter #16and enclosures to help you determine the reason for not having heard of my concerns.
I again offer to mail or email you thecomplete chronology of my letters toyou— it is that important.
I hope that you and America’s bestand brightest policy makers manageto come up with contingency plans.
Enclosed is a fourth copy of thesurvey, as well as a request of yourScheduler to arrange for 10 to 15minutes for me to meet with you.
