Camcare was established in 1976 to meet the needs of people in the local area who sought community support.Camcare is a community-based organisation that operates from two sites at Ashburton and Camberwell.Camcare delivers wellbeing and support services principally to individuals and families living in the City of Boroondara. In addition the Integrated Family Services team provides family support as a partner in the Inner East Integrated Family Services Alliance. Camcare also provides Access to Applied Psychological Services (ATAPS), material aid, parent education, advocacy and community development. We seek to ensure the provision of high quality services, which will bring about significant improvements in the life and experience of the children, young people and families with whom we work.
Camcare receives funding from local, state and federal governments. We also attract funds through the support of private donations, philanthropic trusts and the community sector.
General Information
Position title: Information Officer Reports to: Business Manager Organisation: Camcare Inc. Rate of Pay: Based on SCHCADS award level 5 Hours of work: 15 hours per week (0.4 FTE)
Key Responsibilities oversee the maintenance of the Automated Daybook (ADB) system maintain the Camcare policy and procedures documentation system maintain and update Camcare’s website and intranet sites assist with the maintenance and updating of Camcare’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages monitor client feedback: review feedback forms, respond to online client feedback forms assist with preparation of statistics as required for funding bodies, funding proposals and
annual report supervise the volunteer statistics officer who prepares information for funding bodies and
other purposes provide support to community support workers (CSWs) using various electronic systems
(ADB, CS database) upload Board papers on a timely basis for Board meetings

Key Performance Indicators accurate and timely maintenance of Camcare’s various systems (internet, intranet, ADB,
Facebook, LinkedIn) accurate and timely maintenance of referral resources, and co-ordination of Camcare
printed and online information supervision of volunteer statistics officer and quality officer accurate and timely provision of statistical data as required provision of training and IT support to staff and volunteers for use of Camcare's systems maintaining effective and collaborative working relationships with Camcare staff
Specific TasksCommunity Information Management keep up to date documentation to support the Information role at Camcare oversee maintenance and distribution of Camcare’s suite of brochures to other agencies oversee Camcare’s library display at Kew library ensure that brochures displayed at all sites are relevant, up to date and plentiful liaise with the Manager Community Support to discuss statistics, client feedback, support
for CSWs
Knowledge System Software maintain the Camcare policy and procedures data base, ensuring updates are included in a
timely manner train new staff to use document management system inform staff when policies/procedures are updated assist management with preparation for external quality audit upload Board papers in accordance with the reporting timetable
Website add new posts to Camcare’s website, update information and brochures, assist with
management of website content familiarity with WordPress to maintain the website
Facebook add posts and photos to Camcare’s Facebook page be alert to recent events that may be relevant to Camcare for inclusion on Facebook page share other Facebook pages with Camcare and “like” other Facebook postings on
Camcare’s behalf
Statistics review and prepare statistical information on a regular basis and upon request supervise statistics officer who gathers statistics from various sources in readiness for
quarterly reports to Council

manage Camcare’s general email account ([email protected]), respond or redirect as required
provide assistance as required to volunteers and staff with induction in computer use and software, IT problems and follow up with IT support
assist with general administration duties and other reasonable requests as directed
Selection Criteriaessential skills and experience experience in maintaining and understanding website and intranet software packages appreciation of the structure of the delivery of services by government and community
agencies ability to deliver a range of training opportunities to staff and volunteers to maximise the
benefits from Camcare's systemsdesired skills and experience proficiency with WordPress and similar web management systems experience working in a government funded not-for-profit community based agency understanding of the community information provision and referral process

Conditions of Employment Employment is under the conditions of the SCHCADS award Employment contract will be for 12 months Salary packaging is available (subject to legislation and Award compliance) The position is subject to external funding and to annual program review A driver’s license and access to own vehicle are required. Where use of own vehicle for
work-related purposes is required, reimbursement will be made at the prescribed rate The position will be based at the Camberwell office, with visits to the Ashburton office as
required
