Series TMP – Axial Piston Pumps
Repair Instructions
Always consider safety precautions before beginning a service procedure. Protect your-
self and others from injury. Take the following general precautions whenever servicing a
hydraulic system.
Unintended machine movement
WWarning
Unintended movement of the machine or mechanism may cause injury to the technican
or bystanders. To prevent uintended movement, secure the machine or disable / dis-
connect the mechanism while servicing.
Flammable cleaning solvents
WWarning
Some cleaning solvents are flammable. To eliminate the risk of fire, do not use cleaning
solvents in an area where a source of ignition may be present.
Fluid under pressure
WWarning
Escaping hydraulic fluid under pressure can have sufficient force to penetrate your skin
causing serious injury and/or infection. This fluid may also be hot enough to cause burns.
Use caution when dealing with hydraulic fluid under pressure. Relieve pressure in the
system before removing hoses, fittings, gauges, or components. Never use your hand
or any other body part to check for leaks in a pressurized line. Seek medical attention
immediately if you are cut by hydraulic fluid.
Personal safety
WWarning
Protect yourself from injury. Use proper safety equipment, including safety glasses, at all
times.

Assembly
Housing Lead the pre-assembled swash plate
(D10) into the casing with the bearings
in the seats (D40).(Photo F000920)
Make sure the correct seat of the bearing,
and bearing's outer ring, and then use a
press to press in until stop.
(Photo F000921)
Screw in lightly the servo sleeve (F50)
until the stop of the swash plate.
The swash plate must remain free from
backlash. Using a measuring device
(depth gauge), set swash plate at zero
position by screwing in or out the servo
cylinder. The maximum differencebetween the depths between the two
points is 0.025 mm max.
(Photo F000922)
Assemble then the sealing ring (F60), the
spacer ring (F70) and the slot nut (F80).
Turn and lock the servo cylinder and
tighten the slot nut with a torque of
80 ± 10 Nm. Assemble plug with (F90)
the O-ring.
(Photo F000923)
Turn the pump housing so the flange
faces up. Place the pre-assembled shaft
with the bearing (B50) at the stop of the
pump casing.
Press the male tapered roller bearing
(B50) into the hole of the pump housing.
Assemble the retainer ring (B60).

(D20) with the non-lapped side facingdown in the seating of the swash plate.
Lay the pump housing on its side and
insert the complete cylinder block
(C00). Take care of the conformity of the
gearing of the shaft, the retainer guide
(C150) and the cylinder block.

between the high pressure valves.
(Photo F000931)
Turn the endcap and assemble the
proportional valve (M10) with the
O-rings (M10A, M10B and M10C).
Take care of the position of the
connections!
(Photo F000932)
Insert the spacer ring (G25) (for the
balance of the shaft axial clearance) and
bearing outer ring in the hole for the
position of the tapered roller bearing
and use Vaseline to protect from falling.

Warning
The axial clearance of the
shaft must be checked. The
shaft axial clearance must
be between 0.01 and
+0.06 mm. If the values are
not reached, the
suitable distance plates
G25 must be assembledin the end casing. Pull the
shaft to measure the axial
clearance and measure
the clearance with a dial
gauge.
It must be disassembled to
replace the distance plates
G25 in the endcap.
For this, see instructions
