SHR close to 1 and Net Sensible Capacity are distinctive parameters of Leonardo Evolution in comparison with our competitors.
Sensible Heat RatioThe primary objective of Precision Air Conditioning must be to dissipate the real heat load in the space. Any unwanted latent cooling (dehumidification) provides no useful service to the equipment being cooled and is a considerable waste of energy.
Energy Efficiency
35
SHR close to 1 and Net Sensible Capacity are distinctive parameters of Leonardo Evolution in comparison with our competitors.
Net Sensible CapacityLeonardo Evolution has been developed to optimise the real contributions to the equipment cooling capacity, that is represented by Net Sensible Capacity, getting as Sensible Capacity – fan power absorption.

Innovative Solutions
67
Leonardo Max presents as standard electronic expansion valve managed and optimized by on-board microprocessor. That allow the monitoring of all functional parameters of the cycle and their optimization in terms of maximum energy saving. This item permit to:
• Optimize the overheating
• Operate at lower condensation temperature respect to those permitted by normal thermostatic valves and thus increase unit COP
• Regulate the operative temperature with high accuracy
• Perform dehumidification keeping constant air flow
Electronic Expansion Valve
68
Possibility to control superheating in a stable way in all running conditions, avoiding sudden variations typical of electromechanical thermostatic valves, due to a dedicated regulation.
Electronic Expansion Valve
69
Under the control of UNIFLAIR Control System, the electronic expansion valve provides accurate control in order to ensure an increase in the COP at low external temperatures, because it enables the unit to operate at a condensing temperature much lower than 38°C dew point, making the most of compressor working range.
Electronic Expansion Valve
70
One important characteristic of Leonardo Max is that the dehumidification is achieved without a reduction in the airflow rate.Direct expansion Leonardo units use an innovative system of dehumidification by means of the electronic expansion valve and Uniflair’s exclusive control software
Electronic Expansion Valve

Tandem
78
Units with **42 suffix are provided with 2 compressors in parallel in the same refrigerant circuit and are supposed to be used during part-load.
