Distributed Read Pulling Content
BOCS is a local cache server synchronized witha central repository
The first request for content will force a cachepull from the central repository.
Subsequent requests for the same content will
retrieve from BOCS for ALL remote users.

BOCS Administration
Monitoring BOCS
BOCS can now be monitored via Resource Agents usingthe new unified JMX framework.
To add a BOCS Resource Agent, simply provide theresource URL and a name in Documentum Administrator.
Installing and configuring BOCS
BOCS are lightweight Java applications that can bedeployed and un-deployed remotely. There is no need foron-site IT.
BOCS configuration is done through Documentum
Administrator.

BOCS requires very little administration and maintenance.
BOCS supports heterogeneous environments. Content transfers use
http protocol and are O/S-independent.
By moving content closer to remote users, performance is greatlyimproved.
BOCS supports the HTTPS protocol for enhanced security.
