The Parenting & Wellness
Education Program is a free service to
women residing in the
Blacktown, Mt Druitt local
government area. Interpreters can be arranged for
women requiring language assistance.
A female support friend or relative is welcome to attend with you

Education will include information on: Early parenting and caring
for a newborn Baby’s development,
illnesses and immunisation Babies and toddlers safety Baby massage and playing
with baby/toddler Breastfeeding and infant
feeding Looking after yourself:
nutrition and exercise Coping with loneliness and
sadness Women’s health, wellbeing,
contraception and relationship issues
You will also learn about: Mothers groups and
playgroups in your area Meet other mothers in your
neighbourhood At the end of the program you
can be referred to relevant services for further assistance
