What is Beta Club?

Beta Club is a national honor organization that recognizes outstanding academic achievement, promotes strong moral character, and social responsibility, encourages service to others, fosters leadership skills, and provides settings for you to develop strong interpersonal skills.
Vision The National Beta Club, a
student-centered organization, continually develops and nurtures individuals by providing opportunities and experiences enabling them to demonstrate the ideals of character, achievement, service and leadership in a global community.
Mission The purpose of the National Beta
Club shall be to promote the ideals of character, service and leadership among students, to reward meritorious academic achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.
Junior Beta Pledge “ I hereby declare that I shall always
striveto be honest and truthful at all timesto maintain a creditable scholastic
record;to be of service to my teachers and
fellowmen;to conduct myself in an ethical and
moral mannerto reflect credit upon my school and
community.”

How do you become a member? Get paperwork filled out, signed, and
turned in by the deadline. If recommended, grades and
behavior records are checked. An invitation to membership is given. Pay $30.00 dues. Get inducted and participate.
Beta Club Requirements Each Beta Club member is expected to memorize the Beta
Club Pledge, the 8 principles, and the vision and mission statements.
Each Beta Club member is expected to earn 50 Beta Service Points by the end of the school year.
Each Beta Club member is to maintain all A’s and B’s during the school year and exemplify strong character.
No ISS and OSS
New Beta Club members are to be inducted into the club by paying $30.00 ($15.00 National dues, $15.00 Local chapter dues) and participating in the Induction Ceremony.

State Convention We are traveling to Macon, GA for the annual
state convention November 19th and 20th. The cost is $135.00 and you must be a member
to attend.
