This years prom was the best yet with over 24 volunteers including a DJ, photographer, decorator and plenty of prom “dates” for clients. A special thanks to our 2 volunteer groups from Mad DE and Humana who provided half of our volunteers. Also a huge
thank you to Jeffery Payne for the beautiful photos he took of our clients.
Doug the DJ did a wonderful job!
Thank you Mad DE volunteer group!
PROM 2016
VSA (Very Special Arts) artist Leslie Iwai led a 10 week art program
for clients and staff at our day program. It was amazing!

Badger Volunteers MTILP had a spring partnership with 2 Badger Volunteer groups. The 4 person team
went on trips with clients to Badger Bowl, the Madison Children’s Museum, the Madi-
son Contemporary Art Museum and other locations. The 8 person team partnered with
clients during our VSA program, which made for an even better VSA experience. Thank
you to all our volunteers and the Badger Volunteer program at UW-Madison.

Thank you to our
photographer Jeff
Payne for graciously
volunteering to take
client photos for the
prom.
MTILP staff also solicited for prom dresses and dress shirts and received
enough donations to have a prom shopping day where all clients picked
out an outfit.
Very Special Arts 2016
MTILP staff, friends and family vol-
unteered at the On Tap Beer Festival
to fundraise for program items.
Loretta has been an employee of MTILP since 2007. She recently took on a new role as Skills Trainer / C.N.A. after a newly created position opened up. It has been very helpful to our day program as our clientele is changing and needing more cares. Loretta has been doing a wonderful job so far in the Skills Trainer role where she uti-lizes her musical talents. It has been great to see Loretta blossom in her new position.
This May Loretta married the love of her life on his family farm in Blue Mounds. She has 2 chil-dren and 6 grandchildren. One of her daughters lives here in Madison and the other in Florida. She enjoys music, spending time with family and living out in the country.

Frank has been supported by Successful Work
Options for 15 years. For the last 5 years, he
has been employed at our facility based day
program doing dishes, laundry and other
maintenance jobs. He seems to enjoy his
work very much. Recently Frank has been
working hard on learning new tasks, such as
putting out buckets and lunches for our day
program clients and learning to match names
and colors for this job. Frank is a most help-
ful person and it is a pleasure to have him at
our day program location.
Thank you to everyone who
volunteered and raised money
for the Harry Fischer
Scholarship .
MTILP Scholarship Award Day
On June 14th, three children of
MTILP staff were awarded $500
scholarships for their college
pursuits. Malia Simmons’ daughter
Auhea Simmons, Shane Fischer’s
daughter Ashlen Fischer and Cindy
Anderson’s daughter Lydia
Anderson were awarded the Harry
A. Fischer Memorial Scholarship.
Joan’s Thoughts
On Wednesday May 18th Shane Fischer and I had the honor of pre-senting the Harry Fischer Memorial Scholarship to three graduating seniors from Evansville High School. Harry’s passion and dedication to helping young people was evident to those who knew and worked with him, and the scholarship is a continuation of the values he held. In addition to the EHS recipients, the scholarship is also offered to graduating chil-dren and grandchildren of MTILP, Inc. employees, and we have three this year! I especially want to thank our friends and employees that have volunteered at fundraisers throughout the year to support the scholarship. There are not enough words to express my gratitude. "Discover who you truly are and fully give every
aspect of your uniqueness to the world. This is your
path to an extraordinary life." ~ Unknown author
