ראשון a definition – כלי
Definition: ראשון the pot that is taken off- כליthe fire [while it is still very hot]
Why? ◦ Because the food in the pot is still hot enough to
cook other food in it. This is, therefore, a type of .בישול
Examples: Uncooked meat, vegetables, seasoning, liquids

Examples: Cooked foods** or noodles* Defintion: once a food has already been
cooked if cannot be cooked again. Explanation

Rav Moshe Feinstein:◦ If water is poured into a שלישי you can then put כלי
the tea bag into it. השלחן :ערוך
◦ The tea leaves will get cooked even in a שלישי כליand therefore you can’t put tea leaves into hot water.
◦ Recommendation: Prepare tea essence - Allowed to pour the tea
essence into a שני .that has hot water in it כלי
What about tea ?
Foods that don’t easily cook may be put in
Cooked liquids that cooled off may be put in
Coffee crystals, sugar and salt may be put in
You are allowed to pour water into a bowl of soup or into a cup of tea to cool
it off.
