QUALIFICATION CONDITIONS FOR
FEUERSTEIN INSTITUTE COURSES
This document contains qualification conditions for the following courses:
Instrumental Enrichment (IE) Standard 1 and 2
(in the USA (IE) 1, 2 and 3)
Instrumental Enrichment (IE) Basic 1 and 2,
1. All students who take one of the above Feuerstein Institute courses whether
given directly by the Feuerstein Institute or by a Feuerstein Authorized Training
Center, will be awarded a Certificate of Instrumental Enrichment Mediator upon
successful completion of the entire course requirements.
2.
The certificate is valid for 4 years from its issue date and is renewed subject tothe conditions outlined below.
3. CPD (Continuous Professional Development)
A renewal of the certificate is dependent on renewal training (CPD) consisting of
the following:
a. Submission of a verification form of IE implementation to Feuerstein Institute
(to be obtained from Feuerstein Institute) reflecting at least 30 hours of work
b. Participation in 4 annual lectures using e-learning, including successful
passing of a questionnaire about the material presented in the lectures.
These lectures incur a cost (approx. 100 EUR per annum, subject to changeand not to exceed 10% p.a.) and will be administered over the internet.
c. Each training (i.e. IE1, IE2, etc.) requires submission of its own verification of
IE implementation form (one-time after each course), but candidates will not
be required more than 4 annual lectures to renew all certificates they hold.
d. Additional courses taken within the 4-year CPD period count as completion
of an annual CPD requirement.
4. Certificate holders who meet all CPD requirements will receive a renewal of their
certificates for a further 4 years period.
5. Only holders of a valid official Certificate of The Feuerstein Institute are eligible to
purchase the Feuerstein Instruments, and to pursue continuing education in the
Feuerstein Method. The institution that gives the training in the Feuerstein
method is required to give an official Feuerstein Certificate to each student who
successfully completes all course requirements.
6. All Mediators are authorized to directly teach students or carry out treatment
using IE instruments for which they are qualified, but they are not authorized to
teach other teachers or therapists to use the methodology they studied.

7. To be able to teach teachers or other professionals, one must be qualified as a
Trainer 1 / Trainer 2 in accordance with the Qualif ication conditions for Trainers
Level 1 and 2 in Instrumental Enrichment (IE) Standard/ Basicand requires signingof an alliance agreement with the Feuerstein Institute as an ATA, ATC (Authorized
Training Center) or CFC (Certified Feuerstein Center), or working as a staff member of an
existent ATC or CFC.

undertake to act within the stipulated permissibility and restrictions.
I understand and agree that certification as a Feuerstein Professional requires a high
ethical and moral standing and undertake to maintain such standing at all times.

Qualification conditions for Trainers Level 1 in Instrumental Enrichment (IE)
Standard
1. Pre-Condition for Participation in Trainers Level 1 Course:
a.
Successful Completion of IE Standard 1 and 2 (all 14 IE instruments)(In the USA IE 1, 2 and 3)
b. Submission of Evidence of Practice to the Feuerstein Institute pertaining to IE-S
1 and IE-S 2 in the language of the course to be taken.
The Evidence of Practice is expected to reflect at least 100 hours of IE work
with significant part of the IE Instruments (at least 10 Instruments), and to
include the standard report of IE program implementation (to be obtained
from FI), and:
a. 2 Lesson plans (mandatory)
b. Articles (optional)
c. Videos and other material pertaining to training administered
(optional).
The Evidence of Practice will be professionally assessed at the Feuerstein Institute
c. Meeting all CPD requirements up until acceptance to the Trainers Level 1
course
d. 2 Letters of recommendation from a trainer you trained under in the past, or
from supervisor who supervised you
e. Ability to take the Trainer level 1 course in one of the languages in which it is given
f. Approval from the Feuerstein Institute professional committee.
The Feuerstein Institute reserves the right to reject candidature on the basis of
committee members' opinion that the candidate has not met the established
requirements for acceptance.
2. Upon completion of the Trainers Level 1 course, graduates will receive a Trainers
Level 1 certificate granting the following:
a. Eligibility for work as co-trainers within the framework of the Feuerstein
Institute or a Feuerstein Institute Authorized Center (ATA, ATC, CFC) and for
teaching teachers and professionals under the supervision of experts at the
said Authorized Center.
b. Eligibility for the position of supervisor of teachers who teach IE in classrooms;
c. Eligibility to submit candidature for a Trainers Level 2 course, following
Submission of Evidence of Practice reflecting 45 hours of work as a Trainer 1,together with a recommendation from your supervisor.
d. Please note: Teaching teachers and professionals is only allowed after
completing the Trainers Level 2 course, and requires signing of an alliance
agreement with the Feuerstein Institute as an ATA, ATC (Authorized Training
Center) or CFC (Certified Feuerstein Center), or working as a staff member of
an existent ATC or CFC.
Please note: Teaching teachers or professionals is not possible without first
establishing an association with the Feuerstein Institute as an ATA/ATC and
receiving supervision from the Feuerstein Institute.

3. The certificate is valid for 4 years from its issue date.

Qualification conditions for Trainers Level 2 in Instrumental Enrichment
(IE) Standard
1. Pre-Condition for Participation in Trainers Level 2 Course:
a. Successful Completion of the Trainers Level 1 course
b. Submission of Evidence of Practice to the Feuerstein Institute pertaining to
practice as Trainer level 1 in the language of the course to be taken.
Submission of Evidence of Practice to reflect at least 45 hours of work as a co-
training , and to include the standard report of IE training 1/supervision
implementation (to be obtained from FI), and:
i. 2 Training session plans (mandatory)
ii. Articles (optional)
iii. Videos and other material pertaining to training administered
(optional).
The Evidence of Practice will be professionally assessed at the Feuerstein
Institutec. Compliance with the CPD conditions up until presentation of candidacy.;
d. Submission of a recommendation of either your supervisor, a senior staff member of
the school where the trainer taught, or any other person who supervised the
candidates teaching and professional training activities;
e. Ability to take the Trainer level 2 course in one of the languages in which it is given
f. Approval from the Feuerstein Institute professional committee.The Feuerstein Institute reserves the right to reject candidature on the basis of
committee members' opinion that the candidate has not met the established
requirements for acceptance
2. Successful graduates of the Trainers Level 2 course will qualify as Trainers Level 2 and will beentitled to use their certificate in the following ways:
a. Teaching teachers and other professionals the IE Standard courses, on condition that
the courses comply with the course provisions as stipulated by FI;
b. Teaching Teachers and other professionals is permissible only in the country of
residence of the teacher, or in the country(ies) specified in the alliance agreement
with the Feuerstein Institute.
c. Teaching teachers and other professionals requires signing of an alliance agreement
with the Feuerstein Institute as an ATA, ATC (Authorized Training Center) or CFC
(Certified Feuerstein Center), or working as a staff member of an existent ATC or
CFC.
Please note: Teaching teachers or professionals is not possible without first
establishing an association with the Feuerstein Institute as an ATA/ATC and
receiving supervision from the Institute.

4. CPD (Continuous Professional Development)
A renewal of the certificate is dependent on renewal training (CPD) consisting of the
following:
a. If operating as ATA, submission of standard training reports as required by the ATA
agreement.
b.
If operating in the context of an ATC, ensuring that courses taught by you areproperly reported in the annual report of the ATC to FI, as stipulated in the ATC
contract.
c. Completion of a Trainers Renewal Course once every six years (given in the annual
Feuerstein Summer Institute)
5. Certificate holders who meet all CPD requirements will receive a renewal of their certificatesfor a further 6 years.
6. Only holders of a valid official Certificate of The Feuerstein Institute are eligible to
purchase the Feuerstein Instruments, and to pursue continuing education in the
Feuerstein Method. The institution that gives the training in the Feuerstein method isrequired to give an official Feuerstein Certificate to each student who successfully
completes all course requirements.

Qualification conditions for Trainers Level 1 in Instrumental Enrichment
Basic (IE-B)
1. This standard does not apply for people registering to IE Basic training course in 2012
to those the standard for Trainers Level 2 in IE Basic applies. From the year 2013 thequalification procedure for IE-B trainers will consist of two stages, similar to IE Standard,
i.e. Trainers Level 1 and Trainers Level 2 in IE-Basic.
2. Pre-Condition for Participation in IE Basic Trainers Level 1 Course:
a. Successful Completion of IE Basic 1 and 2 (all 11 IE Basic instruments)
b. Submission of Evidence of Practice to the Feuerstein Institute pertaining to IE-B 1
and IE-B 2 in the language of the course to be taken.
Submission of Evidence of Practice to reflect at least 100 hours of IE Basic work, and
to include a significant part of the IE Basic Instruments (at least 9 Instruments), and
to include the standard report of IE program implementation (to be obtained fromFI), and:
i. 2 Lesson plans (mandatory)
ii. Articles (optional)
iii. Videos other material pertaining to training administered (optional).
The Evidence of Practice will be professionally assessed at the Feuerstein Institute
c. Meeting all CPD requirements up until acceptance to the Trainers Level 1 course

3. This requirement pertains solely to people who have not qualified as Trainers Level 1
and 2 in IE Standard those who have, are eligible for direct admission to the Trainers
Level 2 course in IE-Basic.
4. Upon completion of the course, graduates will receive a Trainers Level 1 certificate
granting the following:
a. Work as a co-trainer within the framework of a Feuerstein Institute Authorized
Center (ATA, ATC, CFC) and teaching teachers and professionals under the
supervision of the said Center's specialists;
b. Work as a supervisor of teachers who teach students IE in classrooms.
c. Eligibility to submit candidature for a Trainers Level 2 course, following
Submission of Evidence of Practice reflecting 45 hours of work as a Trainer 1,
together with a recommendation from your supervisor.
d. Please note: Teaching teachers and professionals is only allowed after
completing the Trainers Level 2 course, and requires signing of an alliance
agreement with the Feuerstein Institute as an ATA, ATC (Authorized Training
Center) or CFC (Certified Feuerstein Center), or working as a staff member of an
existent ATC or CFC.

Qualification conditions for LPAD Assessors Level 1 and LPAD Assessors Level 2
(Standard, Ages 8+)
1. Pre-Condition for Participation in LPAD Assessors Course:
a. Professionals qualification in the areas of social sciences, teaching,
therapy or para-medical professions
b. Holders of a B.A. or B.Ed. degree at least
c. The Feuerstein Institute reserves the right to require successful
completion of IE1 as pre-condition to admission to the LPAD 1 Course
2. Upon completion of the course graduates will receive a LPAD assessor Level 1
certificate granting the following:
a. Assessment together with a qualified assessor (a graduate of the LPAD Level 2
course);
b. Assessment for the purposes of experience only and without issuance of an
official LPAD report;
c.
Candidacy for the LPAD Level 2 course on condition that the provisionsstipulated for acceptance to the course are complied with.
3. The certificate is valid for 4 years and its renewal for another 4 years is
dependent on compliance with CPD conditions.
4. CPD (Continuous Professional Development)
A renewal of the certificate is dependent on renewal training (CPD) consisting of
the following:
a. Submission of 2 LPAD assessment reports, which will be appraised by the
Feuerstein Institute professional committee;
b. Participation in 4 annual lectures using e-learning, including successful
passing of a questionnaire about the material presented in the lectures.These lectures incur a cost (approx. 100 EUR per annum, subject to
change and not to exceed 10% p.a.) and will be administered over the
internet.
5. LPAD Level 2 Course
Graduates of the LPAD Level 1 course only, are eligible for admission to the LPAD
Level 2 course, under the following conditions:
a. Compliance with all the CPD conditions up to the date of Submission of
candidacy;
b.
Approval from the Feuerstein Institute professional committee. FeuersteinInstitute reserves the right to reject candidature on the basis of committee
members' opinion that the candidate has not met the established requirementsfor acceptance.
6. Upon completion of the LPAD Level 2 course, participants who have completed
all requirements will be certified as a LPAD Qualified Assessment Practitioner
granting the following:
a. Independent LPAD assessment (individual assessment only) and issue of an
official LPAD report.

7. The certificate is valid for 4 years and its renewal for another 4 years is
dependent on compliance with CPD conditions.
8. CPD (Continuous Professional Development)
A renewal of the certificate is dependent on renewal training (CPD) consisting of
the following:
a. Submission of proceedings of 6 assessment reports, written in or
translated into English, which will be appraised by the Feuerstein Institute
professional committee;
b. Participation in 4 annual lectures using e-learning, including successful
passing of a questionnaire about the material presented in the lectures.
These lectures incur a cost (approx. 100 EUR per annum, subject to
change and not to exceed 10% p.a.) and will be administered over the
internet.

1. Pre-Condition for Participation in LPAD Basic Assessors Course:
