One of her favorite hobbies was woodworking and making furniture. Th e daughter of William Eugene Paull and Edna Brown Paull, she was born in Ponchatoula, LA. She graduated from Ponchatoula High School in 1939 and attended Southeastern Louisiana College until 1941 when she married her high school sweetheart, Emil Edward Krafft , who had joined the United States Navy the year before. Aft er the war, Mrs. Krafft moved with her husband as his engineering work took him from Louisiana to Georgia to Delaware, and fi nally to Tullahoma, TN, where she had resided since 1955. When her children were in school, Mrs. Krafft was active in her church, St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, oft en volunteering to cook meals for visiting priests as well as participating in the Altar Society. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Shady Grove Garden Club, the Tullahoma Woman's Club, Th e World Organization of China Painters, and the Senior Center Porcelain Artists of Huntsville, AL. In addition, she spent many years researching her family's genealogy. She attended Motlow State Community College in 1970, where she studied history and art. Mrs. Krafft was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-four years, Emil Edward Krafft ; and an infant son, Christopher Edward Krafft . Mrs. Wingo loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and singing. When she was growing up, she and her sisters, Marilyn and Carolyn formed a trio, the Dean Sisters, and traveled throughout Georgia performing. Mrs. Wingo was a registered nurse and had worked at Queen City Hospital and Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, Southern TN Medical Center in Winchester, Coff ee County Medical Center in Manchester, Lynchburg Nursing Home, and Bedford County Nursing Home in Shelbyville. She was a “working mom” and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading spiritual material. Mrs. Wingo also loved to write and enjoyed writing poetry, her memoirs and in her personal journal. She also enjoyed coloring in adult coloring books. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell “DZ” Wingo, who passed away in 1995; and brothers, Billy and Kenneth Dean.
