Baghdad Choir performs heritage and re ligious, old and

modern songs that reflex the diversity of Iraqi cu lture in the

concerts and performances through the participations in the

festivals and celebrations of nationa l days.

Baghdad Choir contain Iraqi youth singers and musicians based

on gender quality from various re ligions and sects in Iraq.

We would like to express our support for the efforts of the Iraqi

Ministry of Culture in the nomination of Newroz celebrations of

the cultura l intangib le heritage for humanity- UNESCO for its

importance, in terms of these holidays is considered a national!

Now that I have inherited the carrier of sewing Nowrouz traditional

and folkloric uniforms from my father and grandfather, I really from

Representative list of Intangible Cultural Heritage

We are teaching staff at the institute of handicrafts and popular arts in Iraq , Baghdad . We approve that Nowrouz Feast should be inscribe on the Representative list of Intangible Cultural Heritage for humanity as multinational file with these Submitting countries ( Afghanistan, Azerbaijan,lndia,lran,Kazakhstan, Kyrgyztan, Pakistan,Tajikstan,Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, .. So we appeal UNESCO to cooperate with Iraq in this matter , thus to preserve this heritage for the coming generations; taking into consideration that we are among those who perform such rituals .
