Report of the Webinar “Necessity and Usage of IPR in Commerce”

Department of Library of Pragati College of Arts & Commerce in association with IQAC

organized One Day National level Webinar on Necessity and Usage of IPR in Commerce on 30th

May, 2020 i.e. Saturday 11.00 am on Webex platform.

Adv. Deepak Parmar, Trade Mark Attorney & Legal Consultant was the Resource Person of the

webinar. He is A Certified digital evidence Analyst & techno- legal consultant, NIXI Arbitrator

for handling Indian domain name disputes & Empanelled Mediator with: Main mediation Centre,

High Court Bombay, Online Consumer Mediation Centre, ODRways.

Dr. K.J. Bhagat, IQAC Co-ordinator welcomed all the participants of the Webinar. Mrs. Trupti

A. Tulsankar, Convener of the webinar gives formal welcome to the resource person Adv.

Deepak Parmar followed by introductory remark by Principal Dr. Jyoti Pohane.

After introduction Adv. Parmar Sir has started with his speech. He has explained in details about

IPR, Trade mark, Patent, industrial Design, brand Power, Trade Secrets and importance of IPR in

academic sector. All the participated get acquainted with IPR & its procedures though this

webinar.

The Session was opened for discussion. Participants were asked the queries and get answered by

the resource person.

The workshop was concluded with Dr. K. J. Bhagat, IQAC Co-ordinator of our College

concluding remarks followed by Vote of thanks proposed by Convener Mrs Trupti. A. Tulsankar.

On this workshop 165 participants were present on WebEx platform and 120 participants were

joined on YouTube. The workshop was a grand Success.
