Sacrament of Baptism

RELIGION
Registration packets are available for the 2018-2019 school year. We are accepting students in grades PK - 8. It is the Board’s policy that all students who are preparing for sacraments must be in our program for two years before receiving the sacrament; that means that students must be enrolled in our 1st grade class to receive First Communion in second grade. Students must be in our Pre-Confirmation class before the Confirmation preparation class. There will be two on-site registration opportunities at the St. John the Baptist Parish Center: Sunday, August 12th from 11:00am to 1:00pm and Monday, August 20th from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Christian Elements of Great Literature Series
The Daughters of St. Paul will be hosting Ken Colston for their summer series of “Christian Elements of Great Literature. “ The group will meet on the last Monday of each month, 7 pm, at Pauline Books & Media, 9804 Watson Rd. in Crestwood. Ken will facilitate literary discussions on the following titles: July 30th – “Diary of a Country Priest” August 27th – “The Betrothed” All are welcome. For more information call 314-965-3512.
Approximately $4 million has been contributed to numerous primarily St. Louis-based children’s charities since the initial Italian Open in 1974 raised about $4000. Today between 30-40 local children’s charities (including St. Ambrose School) benefit from the Italian Open which now distributes approximately $150,000 yearly. The Italian Open two-day event includes a dinner auction at which we honor one or two deserving citizens from our area each year.
Two of this year’s honorees are Guy & George Giudici.

The Daughters of St. Paul will host WINE, Women in the New Evangelization and their Summer Book Club, “Read Between the Wine’s” on Wednesdays, 1 - 2 pm at Pauline Book’s and Media, 9804 Watson Rd. in Crestwood. WINE is a creative and inspired ministry to invigorate Catholic women through encouraging, supporting, and nurturing them in their faith and by equipping and mobilizing them as intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.
