IMPORTANT This Parts Manual contains details of items which may have more than one alternative. Therefore before ordering spare parts, ensure that the parts page to which you refer actually reflects the items fitted to your truck. If in doubt ask your service dealer to check the part numbers against the serial number of your truck.

To enable the reader to more easily identify the correct sheets applicable to a particular truck, certain page titles include build codes. These codes identify a number of optional features covered by that sheet.

IDENTIFICATION A brief description of a number of the features covered by cocks included in this publication andor the method of identification are given below.

Power Steering On Demand (PSOD) The Steer Pump and Motor operate ONLY when the Main Drive Motor is energized.

Direct On Une Start (DOLS) There is only one Hoist Contactor, no centre tapping on the Battery and only one Battely Connector.

Split (Dual) Voltage (snr) Power Cables between the Battery and the Truck include a cable that is connected to a centre tapping on the Battery - usually terminated with a Blue SingWde Connector positioned adjacent to the Main Battery Connector.

SCR Hoist Control (SCR) There is a Potentiometer mounted on the Hoist Control Section of the Main Control Valve and two Motor Controllers are employed. One provides Pulsed Control of the Drive Motor. The other provides Pulsed Control of the Main Hydraulic Pump Motor.

Drive (Traction) Motor(s) The Rating and the Part Number of all Drive Motorscan be determined by reference toa Plate mounted on the Motor body.

Cold Store Trucks (US) The truck is designed for operating in cold Store environments and ALL motors are totally enclosed.

Emergency Battery Disconnect (EBD) A large Red Mushroom-Headed Switch is positioned within easy reach of the operator for raw battery disconnection in event of an emergency.

Hoist Lift LockouVBattery Discharge Indicator When Hoist Lift Lockout is employed lhere are three connections to the Battery Discharge Indicator. Lift Lockout prevents the Main Hydraulic Pump from operating when the Traction Battery is discharged below a predetermined level.

TRUCK MODEL CODE Basic truck details are given by the truck "Model Code" which can be found on the truck Bpecification Plate." Further details regarding the model code can be found on the following pages of this manual.

GENERAL: Yale trucks are built with high quality components; the use of inferior spare parts could result in inadequate safety and poor reliabilii. We strongly recommend the use of genuine Yale Spare Parts.

Yale will not recognize any complaint resulting from the use of any unauthorized spare part.

It is essential in the interests of reliability and safety that this truck is correctly serviced and maintained on a regular basis. We therefore strongly recommend the purchase of the workshop manual, to enable setvicing with the correct procedures.

TRUCK SPECIFICATION: Modifications must not be carried out on the truck or its attachments which in any way affect its operational performance, safety and stabilii as originally specified by the manufacturer.
