CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGEHaving been in operation for 60 years, the Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group has come a long way from our modest origins as a general trading company, set up in Deira in 1958 by two brothers, Saeed and Mohammed Al Naboodah.

From the very beginning, the two brothers were inspired by the role they could play in the growth of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the remarkable success of the Group is also a reflection of the magnificent achievements of the UAE.

Today, the Holding company is run by a Board led by me while the management of the Group’s businesses is undertaken by Al Naboodah Group Enterprises (ANGE). The company’s dedication to providing the highest standards of service to our customers was a key factor in our success. We have expanded and diversified, yet all our work remains driven by our common purpose.

Our construction division, Al Naboodah Construction Group, has played a key role in the growth of the UAE, building much of the country’s infrastructure over the decades, including roads, bridges and tunnels, dams and electrical substations, as well as airport runways, aprons and terminal buildings. The Al Naboodah Construction Group (ANCG) started operations in the UAE in the 1960s, and today is managed with a wealth of international expertise, concentrating on three major areas of construction: civil engineering, building and MEP.

Many of the nation’s roads, bridges and tunnels have been engineered and built by ANCG, and the company also has a strong track record of executing successful projects at major airports across the UAE.

Our building and award-winning MEP divisions have decades of success in building and fitting out district cooling plants, airports, hotels, mixed-use buildings, residential developments, shopping malls, retail centres, healthcare centres and sports facilities.

ANCG is in the unique position in the GCC construction industry of being self-sufficient, supplying its own asphalt, concrete, plant and machinery. Its team of highly qualified and well experienced engineers and technicians provide solutions which meet the highest possible standards and are fully compliant with international and local codes and standards such as NFPA, FM Global, BS Standards and UAE fire codes.

PLANT & EQUIPMENT

One of the Al Naboodah Construction Group’s key strengths is its in-house capability to self-supply on most of its construction projects in the UAE. From plant and equipment to asphalt and concrete, the Group eliminates the need to rely on third party suppliers, thereby providing its clients with a comprehensive offering with total control over quality.

Our plant and equipment team services the Al Naboodah Construction Group with all the general plant, heavy equipment and transport it needs to complete any kind of construction project. The diverse fleet of over 3,000 pieces of heavy equipment is one of the most comprehensive in Dubai, and ranges from pedestrian rollers through to 250-tonne crawler cranes, all of which are serviced and maintained in-house. Temporary power supply and cranage complete the picture.

In addition, it offers a complete fuel supply and fuel management service for the Construction Group. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) play a major role at the company which has its own ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 certifications.

READY MIX CONCRETE & ASPHALT

Al Naboodah Ready Mix Concrete (ARCON) has two permanent production facilities in Dubai supplying international-standard asphalt and concrete of the highest quality to the Al Naboodah Construction Group as well as to the external marketplace for a number of select clients.

Also fully ISO certified, the company boasts in-house laboratory testing facilities for asphalt, concrete and wet-mix, and is fully equipped to supply specialised products tailored to specific applications, such as eco-friendly Crumb Rubber Bitumen using recycled tyres, and the highly-durable Polymer Modified Bitumen for airport runways.

In 2018, ARCON achieved a major milestone with the implementation of industry-leading Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) software, becoming the first concrete supplier in the Emirate of Dubai to provide a fully internal EPD facility. The Gabi EPD software from leading German developer Thinkstep enables ARCON to substantiate end-to-end life cycle programmes for construction materials, thus providing a basis of information for sustainability and environmental impact.

SPECIALIST ENGINEERING

Since 2001, the Al Naboodah Construction Group has been providing professional micro-tunnelling and directional drilling services to projects throughout the UAE. The Group is proud to be known as one of the region’s premier contractors in this specialist field of engineering.

With an extensive fleet of modern tunnelling and drilling machines and a dedicated team of experienced staff and skilled operators, the Al Naboodah Construction Group has installed over 150km of tunnels, pipelines and utility crossings under runways, taxiways, highways and the seabed.

One of the Group’s most challenging projects, which formed a strategic part of the infrastructure for the iconic Dubai Water Canal, involved the design and construction of 78 utility crossings under the canal. With lengths of up to 220m and a maximum diameter of 1200mm, 33 tunnels with a combined length of 7,338m were installed using state-of-the-art micro-tunnelling techniques. In addition to the tunnels a total of 45 cable duct crossings were installed over a combined distance of 12,089m using high-capacity directional drilling equipment.

Another recent project involved micro-tunnelling on the Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Scheme in Abu Dhabi to facilitate the installation of 3180m of 2.4m diameter sewer pipes with the maximum tunnel length being 660m.

Armed with a wealth of technological expertise and experience in this specialist field of engineering and an excellent reputation for quality and safety, the Al Naboodah Construction Group is now expanding its micro-tunnelling and directional drilling operations into other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Heavy TrucksIn 2017 we added the leading European truck brand DAF to our portfolio, exclu-sively distributing and servicing the vehicles across the UAE. They are highly reliable, efficient and durable, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership, and offer excep-tional levels of driver comfort and safety.

As the exclusive representative of DAF Trucks in the UAE, ANGE has a dedicated DAF Service Centre in Rashidiya, Dubai, boasting a team of highly-trained techni-cians who are on hand to keep the vehicles running efficiently at all times to ensure the highest returns per kilometre.

The most recent addition to the Group’s transportation portfolio is TATRA, a Czech brand of rugged heavy trucks which ranks among the oldest in the world with more than 116 year of continuous activity. Aftersales Maintenance, Repair & CustomisationOur commercial vehicles and heavy equipment business offers maintenance, repairs, body work and customisation for all major brands of commercial vehicle and heavy equipment.

We boast a comprehensive after-sales and support network throughout the UAE offering maintenance and fleet management contracts tailored to the specific requirements of each of our clients. We offer a 24x7 service, with multi-brand workshops and spare parts outlets in Al Quoz and Umm Ramool in Dubai, as well as Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain and Fujairah.

These are supported by mobile workshops deployed across the country to assist customers’ vehicles remotely, where necessary. Manning the workshops are over 400 highly skilled technicians trained at our in-house training facilities.

We have long-term strategic partnerships with several municipalities in the UAE to assist in protecting precious agricultural resources from pests and diseases, and we are considered the UAE’s leading expert in the protection and preservation of palm trees. For this reason, Al Naboodah’s agricultural division bears the sole responsibility for the preservation of the culturally significant Al Ain Oases date plantations, which form part of the UAE’s first listed UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ltd is the sole importer of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles in Vietnam, and operates dealerships in Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and Danang, plus a retail store in SC VivoCity shopping mall in Ho Chi Minh. In addition, we have added the Royal Enfield and Triumph brands to our portfolio in Vietnam, operating out of two new showrooms in Ho Chi Minh. The entire design, construction, MEP and fit out and finishing of the 3-star city hotel, which is managed by Millennium Hotels & Resorts, was carried out by Al Naboodah Construction Group and its subdivisions, including Trans Gulf Electromechanical.
