EXPO 2016 ANTALYA OPENING & CLOSING CEREMONYANTALYA – TURKEY
BLONDE was appointed to be the Creative and Executive Production Agency of the Opening and Closing Ceremony for EXPO 2016 Antalya produced by BENART (Turkey). The Opening Ceremony was divided into two locations giving the incentive to Elias Ledakis, the Creative Director, Production Designer, Art Director/ Set Designer, to create two environments based on the theme of the EXPO “Flowers and Children”.

SOCHI 2014 WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES - MEDALS PLAZASOCHI – RUSSIA
ΒLONDE S.A. Audiovisual Productions and Elias Ledakis as Production Designer, Art Director and Set Designer, following an international call for tender, was appointed as Contractor for the MEDALS PLAZA –Sochi Winter Olympic Games 2014. Blonde designed, built and produced in collaboration with OCOG – IOC and OBS the stage and all associated facilities for MEDALS PLAZA. BLONDE also produced and operated the dailylive broadcast medal ceremonies of the winning athletes, the cultural program and the shows held in MEDALS PLAZA for the Winter Olympic Games period.

Elias Ledakis, appointed Art Director & Set Designer, created one of the most spectacularly ambitious Eurovision sets ever.
“Right from the beginning his aim was to reflect the historical and modern diversity of Greek culture, architecture and philosophy by blending the ancient with the modern; Greek art and culture with technology; video with lighting and staging with people.
Ledakis’ design echoed the architecture of the Greek amphitheatre whilst providing a state of the art video backdrop for each performance. “

Working closely with internationally awarded visual artist and co-founder of BLONDE S.A., George Drivas, the company produced his latest work “Laboratory of Dilemmas” which represented Greece @ Biennale of Venice 2017 International Art Exhibition . Elias Ledakis was the Production Designer/ Set Designer for the installation including the set design for all locations that were used for the shooting of the videos that were part of the installation.
