Speedy Copying and Quick First Copy TimeThe AR-M205 has a quick first copy time of 7.2 secondsto save valuable time whenperforming multiple short-runjobs. And with a continuouscopy rate of 20 cpm (A4 size [81/2" x 11"]), you can do morecopy jobs in less time.

Scan Once/Print Many and Electronic SortingThe AR-M205 comes standard with a Scan Once/PrintMany function that stores a scanned original intomemory to quickly produce up to 999 copies of eachpage. The optional AR-EB7 Dual Function Board givesthe AR-M205 an Electronic Sorting function, which savesup to 100 A4-size originals* into memory and thenautomaticallycollates multiple setsof copies in pageorder without theaid of a sorter. Italso stacks each setslightly shifted apartfrom the previous(offset stacking) foreasy retrieval. Allthis adds up tospeedy copying thatboosts productivityeven for large-volume documents.*Based on Sharpstandard A4-size chartwith 6% coverage.

Built-in Duplex ModuleThe AR-M205 can automatically produce duplex copiesfrom one- or two-sided originals. This reduces paper costsand helps save filing space. Duplex copying is even moreproductive when used together with the optional RSPF(reversing single passfeeder), whichefficiently feeds ineither one- or two-sided originals. Plus,the duplex module’sshort paper pathkeeps paper jams to aminimum.

Productivity-Enhancing OptionsA choice of options makes copying even moreproductive and lets you build a system that suits yourexact needs. The RSPF (reversing single pass feeder) canautomatically feed up to 40 sheets. The AR-M205 canalso accommodate two types of extra paper drawers fora total paper capacity of up to 1,100 sheets.

Smart SharingThe AR-M205’s Smart Sharing functionallows you to connect multiple computersdirectly to the machine without having to gothrough a network. This is great news forsmall workgroups that need to share theunit with only a few PCs and don’t have aLAN set up in their office. One USB 1.1port and one IEEE 1284 port are providedas standard, and a USB 2.0 interface canbe added with the optional AR-EB7 DualFunction Board for a total of three PC connections.

Standard 600 dpi Host-Based PrintingThe AR-M205 supports host-based printing, enabling it toprint out documents at up to 12ppm from PCs running popularWindows® operating systems.And with Fit-to-Page, N-upprinting, Watermarks and otherfeatures you would expect tofind only on higher-endmultifunction products, the AR-M205 can save time andpaper and give your documents a professional look.

Printer Status WindowsPrinter Status Windowsconveniently allow you to monitorimportant printer information onyour PC, including on-line/off-linestatus, name of the active printjob, and machine conditions suchas amount of paper or toner.

Speedy Printing with Sharp TechnologyThe AR-EB7 Dual Function Board gives the AR-M205Sharp Printer Language with Compression (SPLC) printingcapability. SPLC effectively reduces the data size of printjobs, speeding up the printing process while improvingoverall throughput. The AR-EB7 also provides RIP Once/Print Many (ROPM) memory for efficient processing,quickly freeing up your PC for other tasks and reducingnetwork congestion. Documents are output at a quick rateof 20 ppm in 600 dpi resolution.

Built-in Offset StackerThe AR-M205ensures yourdocuments will stayneatly organisedeven when othersare sharing themachine. To makeit easier to locateand retrieve your documents from the tray, the AR-M205’sJob Offset function stacks each print job slightly shiftedapart from one another.

Powerful Network PrintingThe AR-M205 supports popular network protocolsincluding TCP/IP, IPX/SPX and IPP. The optional AR-NB2Network Printing/Scanning Expansion Kit allows easyprinter sharing through your office network. The AR-NB2also gives you HP PCL 5e/6 printer language emulations.Adding the optional AR-EB7 gives you faster printing. Forcompatibility with more fonts and better graphicshandling, PostScript 3 emulation is available with theoptional AR-PK1/PK1 N PS3 Expansion Kit.
