Dear Graduates:

The topic of the day is space travel and adventure into unexplored regions outside the realrru of

our earth.

No matter how far we go, all progress is a direct result of ground work which is carried out in

infinite detail by people with ideas and ability. We are laying the groundwork in our schools today for a

better world for tomorrow and we know that the leaders of tomorrow are in our schools today.

It is the true wish of all your teachers that you have the very best of educational opportunities

and that you take full advantage of them.

Sincerely,

Class Prophecy

Dear Ann,

Since you were unable to accompany me on a ight-seeing tour to Hawaii, due to your nursing appointments, I will try to tell you what old friends of ours I met while I was there.

As I was getting off the plane, there was Bunny Bromirski, our airline ho tess. After I left the plane, I went on a tour of the city. Our guide was Donald Hawks. First on the agenda was a modem office building. As we passed through one of the offices, I recognized Sandra LeBarron, Florence Kane, Marion Goodermote, and Virginia Scriven, all workln frantically trying to get caught up on a bi business deal. Working there as telephone operators on the business' own switchboard were JoAnn Marsh and Gail Myers. Joyce Pine was there as private traveling ecretary to the famous tycoon - Ronaldo Seiferto,

From the office building, we went to a new engineering plant. As we passed through the various departments, I saw Warren Millington designing new cars. I also recognized Robert Provensal, Walter Russell, Martin Lingner and Charles Kokoras who were the first to land on the moon in a spaceship designed by Walter Sachau. In the last division of the plant there was Ann Schmigel and Carol Pierson, who are world famous for inventing a new type of balli tic missile.

After our stop at the engineering plant, we went on to a modern ho pital. There I met Margaret Crowley who has discovered the cause of heart disease and found a cure for it. and Linda McCan, Barbara Jones and Gail Chapman who, working together, have found the cause of cancer.

Next, Donald Hawks took us to the largest school in Hawaii. The school surroundings were planned by Donald Baker, now a famous landscape architect. I was urpri ed to find that Carol Elliott, Carol Walker and Judy Norton were all teaching there. Since I am a teacher, naturally I was very anxious to

Paq 34

talk to them. As we pa ed down the hall, I gazed into the office and lo and behold who did I e but James Shepard, the principal. As I rood talking with him, along came Brenda Pine, the guidance counselor. As we passed by the nurse's office, out came Jean Armstrong, the dental hygienist. She has recently found a new drug to prevent tooth decay. While at the school, I met Bob Spendiff and Donald Tate. Bob was explaining to the science cla s his job as a forest ranger and Donald, a champion bowler, was teaching the boys how to bowl in the gym class.

Next, we drove out to an armed force camp. On our way we passed an enormow farm and guess who the owner were -- none other than Henry Ruebel and Everett Brock.

At the armed forces camp I met James Okerman, Earl Callahan, Walter Sprague, Ed McMahon and Jack Bakaitis who are all high ranking officers. Lewis Watt, an honor graduate of Annapolis Naval Academy. and Joseph Salluzzo, who belongs to the tank division, were also there.

After the tour, I stopped in a restaurant for my lunch. Surprise! There were Mary Nonh and Judy Eldred, both married and working pan time a waitre es.

After my lunch, I walked back to the airpon. On my way, I pa ed a beauty salon. As I looked in, I recognized Helen Stewan, world famous beautician noted for the latest hair style, the "Doggytype". She was experimenting on Carolyn Zwiercan's hair.

When I finally was on the plane, Victor Neaton and Donald Bissonette came our of the pilot's cabin to give the passengers the safety rules. I happened to look over in the next seat and I saw Ruth Mason, who was living out west with her aunt. She was takin a short vacation after getting her Ph. D.

Always.

Chorus meets seventh period on Tuesdays and Thursdays, alternating with band.

Some of its members attended All County and All State. The entire group has appear-

ed in the Christmas concert. At present, Mrs. Canzeri is hoping that the chorus will

be in fine voice when the Spring Concen comes around.
